I meant We weren’t

We were 7th

5/6 of the teams in front of us also won.

We were not making it into the playoffs

LSU was 7th heading into A&M week.

Michigan lost
Georgia lost

Georgia ended up jumping Ohio State. Georgia jumped Ohio State because of their performance against Alabama. All things equal, there's no way the committee puts Georgia ahead of LSU

To me, it's really no different than a junior or RS sophomore leaving early, or transferring to another school. As a fan, I hate seeing either happen with LSU players. I want all the players to stay and play for 4 years. As a person, I fully understand going and getting yours while the getting is good and making the best decision for yourself and/or your family.

ETA: I just read that Deandre Baker is also sitting out.

Makes me appreciate Patrick Peterson that much more.

Glad Greedy came to LSU and it’s his decision, but it really makes me respect the ones like White who are willing to play with their teammates in the bowl game.

I understand. You're saying the playoff games just mean *so much more.* But they ultimately don't. If he wanted to sit out a Playoff game, who could blame him. 1999 said he'd support it. Millions on the line! He could break his neck!

Well no, you don’t understand at all.

I’m saying no one has skipped the playoffs because in the eyes of the NFL, it would be a negative and probably impact their draft position.

And I believe the players have been advised of this as well, hence the fact that no players have sat out for the playoffs.

he should have sat out the season, he could have sprained an ankle.

Honestly if he were my brother or son, I would slap some sense into him. He is young but needs to grow into a man and realize that you have the back of those who have your back. His team mates, coaches, and school count on him to show up and bring his best efforts, not to just be blown off by him. It is part of growing into and being a man.

really ?? and you know that how?
just because they do not say it does not mean they do not think it.
Also, they are young and perhaps would likely act selfishly as well.

Don’t have kids out of wedlock while you’re still a kid yourself, would be another solution. Wear a fricking condom, it’s not rocket science.

Other players with high draft potential have played bowl games before...DW case in point.

Is he wrong and Greedy right?

If he didn’t frick up his leg in the bowl game maybe he would have done it in minicamp and he misses valuable time and never gets a second contract? So he then makes 10s of millions less.

It’s all hypothetical

amen. It is about doing the right thing and being a man. It is about respect, your name, and honor. He was a good player for LSU and glad he came to LSU but this is just not how a real man lives his life.

Shut the frick up.

Super easy to say from the sidelines.

People act like he hasn’t been an All Conference player for us for 2 years.

Never any trouble.

Sorry but real men make business decisions too.
