You can get "hurt" going to the mailbox. Bet he would have played if we were in the playoffs, so it's not about getting "hurt!" Plus you can play TWO extra games.

All chest. He's doing exactly what Les Miles would have advised him to do.

Even if he didn't have a daughter it would still be stupid to play, he is no longer a college football player, he is a one man professional sports business with a limited window to profit as much as he can. Every poster that says he should play, if it were their kid in this situation they would have the kid locked in a room, and not allowed to move until the contract was signed.

I will not hold anything against "Greedy", but he took bit of a hit in his legacy. Just like White is adding a big fat gold star to his legacy for playing.

If Player A is on the SEC Community Service Team, he has a better legacy than Player B who just keeps his nose clean. Neither player did anything wrong, but one player does a lot of "good" things ( presumes approximately equivalent football achievement ).

If the Honey Badger could have stayed off the weed, he could have gone down as the best defensive player in the history of the school. Now, he is beloved and had the best defensive year in history, but that is not quite the same is it.

Personally, I don't hate the average joe who does no harm, but little good. However, I admire the Joe who helps the team rather than focussing upon selfish goals. I may be a little idealistic, but I am not the only one.

He said he would make the same decision, jackass. He isn't a damn sellout like Greedy.

If I was the #1 pick I'd come back for my senior season. This generation of me first is disgusting.

Take the names off the back of the jerseys. That is what started this whole mess in the 1st place.

If a player is not injured they should be required to play while still on scholarship

This may come as shocking news, but players leaving for the NFL no longer need that scholarship

Lol. He’s no longer a student.

Maybe they should be required to live in a cabin and pick some cotton. How about that?

His family is more important than your precious bowl.

Using this logic, not a single projected 1st or 2nd round draft eligible player on the 4 teams in the playoffs should be playing.

(just separate “bowl” with “championship”)

Yep, bowl games are more important than family.

Him and anyone else who skips the bowl game when healthy enough to play is a total bitch

Every fricking generation is “me first”. The baby boomer generation was the worst of all of them. Those idiots fricked up everything they could because they wanted anything and everything they could get and didn’t give a frick about the effects it had on the environment.

He’s being responsible. He’s making sure his daughter is taken care of.

Yeah, what a great role model. "My dad is a quitter."

Except he finished the season so he didn’t quit anything.

These are just the facts. You don’t have to believe them, but they will still be true regardless.
