Johnny Jones would be my second choice for the greatest. Wade would be at the bottom. If Wade didn't not have his pack of sycophantic, loudmouth fans, I'd move Wade up.

Never change dumbass. Never change.

McMahon is arguably the worst since Dale left

trying to name the greatest LSU basketball coaches, assuming we are talking Men's only, is about on par of trying to judge which pile of pooh smells the best.

LSU really hasn't had any really great basketball coaches IMHO.

You'll have to qualify.

Charles Stroud has the best win percentage of anyone with 5 or more seasons coached @ 0.796 (82-21)

But in the modern era or with 150 or more games coached it is Wade .

Who has the worst win% in the past 60 years?

Jay Mcreaery ended his 8 year tenure in the 64-65 season, I believe that is within 60 years, 0.416 (82-115). Then it is Press Maravich in 6 seasons 0.469 (76-86), then McMahon in 2 seasons is Next at 0.470 (31-35).

Not an auspicious start for McMahon, for sure. There may be mitigators for that but if he doesn't get some players in the portal or some unexpected leaps in performance from a few players he won't be around long enough to improve his position.

Statistically, it isn't srguable, it is a fact. That could change or it could get worse. Only time will tell but I think if it gets worse it will only be for another season.
