Let me compound on this. I usually go with 2 friends who are good fans of MBB but not diehard like me. I invited a decent group of people to go to the NIT game, as I was trying to hype it up and get them excited for the post season. Think there were like 7 of us total or so. Trying my best to foster new MBB fans...

And then we got bent over and they started watching the baseball game vs Tech on their phones. shite fricking hurt man. I remember when the buzzer hit and the second half ended I just sat in my chair dejected as all my friends were already making their way to the Box

Same. You were the first person to vouch for me on this board and I'll always be appreciative of that.

I like talking to you guys because my IRL friends don't really give a shite about LSU MBB and it sucks. They'll go if I drag them to the games but they don't really care either way
There are a lot of really cool guys and gals around here in the mess.

Not everyone on TD is stupid, just most - myself included.

I really do have your back bro, anyone that knows and talks MBB like yourself is not some numb-nut.

I recognize the user of the guy he mentioned but I can’t say I recall seeing him post much this season

S is legit.

Depending on how you think I am, some posters have solid status. S has been around along time and maybe doesn't chime in every game. I think he said he wanted to stop watching.

I respect S and I can tell he knows ball

Just to clarify I was talking about Elleshoe, not S, as the guy I didn’t see post much. S is one of the few people that I can definitively say is a real MBB fan

That's kind of the thing man.

We all figure out who gives AF and who doesn't with MBB. We all get to know each other.

I still hate you all.

I'm pretty sure he just trolls a bit.

S is solid man. I kinda stand up for posters at times, and S is cool in my book for sure.

Careful, the Wade fans are going to be in this thread shortly to brag up his southland conference championship and 30-3 regular season record, followed by a loss of only 30 points to Gonzaga in the first round. Give him the #1 spot

You’re right. Glad we have McMahon. Much better to miss the tournament and get bounced by UNT in the first round of the NIT.

so far this is 100% correct. People act like every season Johnny Jones was here was as terrible as his last but he at least got decent talent here

It’s correct if you remove all context regarding the state of the programs they took over sure.

Jones’ first team wasn’t as talented as Coach Mac’s so regardless of the “black cloud” talking point Jones first season was much, much better.

That sounds great compared to losing the first at game in the consolation tournament.

I LOVE Will Wade, and am WHITE HOT PISSED we fired him unnecessarily because Scott had to wipe Emmert's arse for him, but Dale is clearly the best coach in LSU history.

Now if Wade put in 25 years at LSU like Dale did, there is ZERO DOUBT he would be, but that's another story.

And whoever said Mulkey, cracker please. We're talking about ACTUAL basketball here.

Ok then it took Dale 6 years to make it into top 3 in the sec… that’s his first shot at making the tourney if you count that then it took Dale 9 years to make the tourney 4 straight years. So regardless wade was half a decade ahead of Dale in career progression and trajectory… it doesn’t matter how you slice it.

Wade was and is an undervalued up and comer and he was our head coach… he was fired for unproven reasons when duke kansas and a few other teams all stuck by the WINNING coaches they had in place

Johnny Jones would be my second choice for the greatest. Wade would be at the bottom. If Wade didn't not have his pack of sycophantic, loudmouth fans, I'd move Wade up.

That just proves you have no objectivity on the subject. What do fans have to do with the merits of coaching success?
