That's what I heard - I was in the opposite end zone, so I couldn't see it clearly.

The great part of that stand was that OlMiss refused a penalty on their first play after getting a first down on about the seven.

LSU was offsides on the fist down play, but since the play went inside the two yard line, they declined the penalty in favor of the field position.

Three plays later they lost.

what a hell of a game.

That was the best one I ever attended. LSU was undefeated going in. Ole Miss led throughout the game and lost it on the last play. It was a real treat watching the Ole Miss fans afterward. They looked like deer caught in the headlights.

1. Florida 07 - With the USC announcement, Tebow calling out the student section, the 4th downs, and Tebow crying..... I dont know how I could pick another one.
Funny story: A friend of mine was standing next to me in the student section (he is a little guy).... When they announced USC 23 Stanford 24, I along with a few other friend threw the guy back.... He ended up 5 or 6 rows up into the section behind us. It was awesome!!!!

2. Va Tech 07 - This is probably the GREATEST game ever played by an LSU team.

3. Auburn 07 - What does it take to call a fade with 8 seconds left.... LESTICLES!!! It was crazy.

I was at that game, sitting in the student section (which ran from around the 30 all around the North End Zone at the time)

We missed a field goal at the end by That Much to win. Great Game

Also 79 USC
79 Bama

May have both been losses but they were great games

May be the best game an LSU team played in TS.
I'd probably have to agree with that statement. I've been going to games since the early '70s and I have never seen another LSU team so totally dismantle and destroy a quality opponent. No, Va. Tech was not a National Championship-caliber team, but they were a pretty darn good team with a pretty good defense. And we just annihilated them.

My personal favorite all time is still the '97 Florida game, though. Just the right combination of excitement, shocking upset (to the non-believers <g>), awesome crowd and great game.

I'll never forget what Kevin Faulk did for LSU against Houston. What a Tiger!!!!!

I didn't attend it, but I would have to agree with that statement. I believe that our dominating victory on national television over a highly rated Va Tech team was one of the main reasons LSU was picked over the other 2 loss teams for the BCS Championship game. We kicked their butts in every way possible. Then, Va Tech helped us even more by going on to win the ACC and representing their conference in the Orange Bowl.

Ruined mine as well along with a decent camera. This was my first game as a student and it was fun.

Atmosphere and great game.
Florida 97
Florida 07

As far as atmosphere and whipping an opponent it would be VT 07.
