I can rememeber a time when we won sec tournaments and regionals where a dog pile was passed on.

Suppose those days are gone.
Seems some here have re adjusted expectations.

I watched whole game was damn proud of the team, but Fact is there was a time not too too long ago this would have never happened.
I'm pretty fricking positive that's the point others are making.

So is anyone else concerned that our players aren't coordinated or athletic enough to stay on their feet during a post game celebration?

Somebody needs to post this "dogpile'.

I didn't see it that way. It looked like a very similar way that any walkoff base hit would be celebrated.

I have it on my DVR.

It was your typical dramatic celebration after winning the game on a walk off.

A couple players fell down....but they got right back up. No one jumped on top of them when they were down, thats why it wasn't a "dogpile".

FWIW, as others have pointed out, it wasn't really a dogpile.

I've seen dominant LSU teams in the 90s celebrate in similar fashion after similar wins.

This! It wasn't a dogpile. The ones who have a problem with celebrating a last at bat win by mobbing the guy with walk off hit have either never played or watched baseball. MLB plays 162 games and they celebrate last at bat wins the same way.

Ha just saw Kentucky made top 10 POD with walk off homer...they celebrated! Imagine that.

Every baseball team in the country, including MLB teams, react in this manner following a game winning walk off hit.

I still believe the conventional wisdom that a team that gets too excited at early wins is less likely to go the distance

Poppycock.

It's a valid and quite ordinary point to make.

People can/will comment on any picky little thing they want...it's still silly to knock an extra inning, comeback victory celebration that players take part in on their home field and any or no emotion they show will have no impact on the outcome of the next game or season. imo

And because of the demoralizing defeat for Miss St. they will almost certainly lose today.

Yep, not to mention that I'm expecting LSU to come out with some fire after the comments by State's coach last night.

I love the sog pile. This is a team that has struggled under pressure so far this year. There was a glimpse of the team these guys can be. A great redemption test for rum below goody took one on the jaw but stopped the. Bleeding, dozar swallows 3ks and yanks a clutch one down the line, and jacoby jones who has been struggling battles through with the game winning hit. And most of all gasman puts the team on his back and throws a gem. Hell yeah when that many ppl overcome adversity I think it calls for a little dog pile. That game could end up being a turning point for this team. Well just have to wait and see. Get em tigers!

I hope they charge the pitchers mound and dog pile on it after every game and then if they win the CWS they just get on the bus and leave.
