It doesn't matter who the OC is as long as Miles is the head coach. The offense will be stuck in the '70s with this Big Ten run-first, run-second, pass-third mentality.

Everybody realizes this except the pro-Miles bunch.

Cam isn't the problem. Miles is the problem.

He could take a team comprised entirely of 5 star NFL first round draft prospects and coach it back to the stone age.

I heard it too, and I thought it was a joke. I can't believe they were serious. Miles on the sideline trying to do what Sean Payton does...it would be a disaster.

Obviously they were joking and it will never happen. Just something to throw out into the sky like all the other scenarios that have been brought up in here this week

I see what you are saying. At this point IDK who Les would go for. Cam has openly admitted that this OC job was never a long term deal. Just a pitstop before going back to the NFL. IDK how that would effect some recruits thinking (Specifically Franks). But we will see.

Hannigriff & Ott mentioned Major Applewhite earlier today. But idk think that story has any legs.

I would say the '13 season had less to do with Cam and more to do with being stacked with NFL talent.

We've been stacked with NFL talent before and never had an offense put up the #s that the 2013 offense did. And it was the same personnel we had in 2012 too.

2012:
Mett - 207/352 (58.8%), 2609yards, 12TDs, 7INTs
Hill - 142carries, 755yards (5.3ypc), 12 TDs
Jarvis - 56rec, 573yards (10.2), 5 TDs
OBJ - 43rec, 713yards (16.6), 2 TDs

2013:
Mett - 192/296 (64.9%), 3082yards, 22TDs, 8 INTs
Hill - 203carries, 1,401yards (6.9ypc), 16TDs
Jarvis - 77rec, 1193yards (15.5), 10TDs
OBJ - 59rec, 1152yards (19.5), 8TDs

Big difference. And it has a lot to do with Cam. We threw the ball 50times less, but had over 400yards more passing and had 10 more TDs. We ran it more, but Hills ypc went up by 1.6ypc, a significant improvement. And the last time we had a 1,000yard WR was in 2003 with Michael Clayton. We had 2 1,000yard WRs in 2013, along with a 1,000yard rusher and a 3,000yard passer. Cam made a big difference in that team.

This is the one that always kills me. As if being a "good family man" somehow matters in all of this. Miles gets paid a ridiculous amount of money to coach football and win championships. It's become increasingly apparent that his best days may be behind him. Yes, he's won more than 70% of his games, but that number is misleading because the first 3 years of his tenure, his roster was comprised of players that were recruited and developed by the previous coach and his staff. Our SEC record over the past 4 seasons has been 8-0, 6-2, 5-3, 4-4. If that's not a decline, I don't know what is. Throw into the mix the complete and utter failure of he and his staff to recruit and develop an SEC-caliber QB (Mett doesn't count), and I'd say that Miles is deserving of every bit of criticism that he's getting right now.

Other than Mett they were all going from soph. to jun. seasons and they were all extremely talented, ready for the league. I can see the same happening to our offense next year. We probably won't throw the ball as much as in 2013 but we will be much better than this year.

We are a talented, young, fragile team this year, I hope that our coaching staff and team can make the same improvements next year as they did 12-13. Can't help loving the Tigers and being an optimist.

I am not risking getting banned over this shite as I apparently already on the STFU list but Les has always maintained control over the play calling and that is not even a bad kept secret by a long shot.

We had no offensive coordinator in 2011, so it's not like it's something we've never seen before. People tend to forget this, and Studrawa doesn't count.

Ever wonder why we start changing the offense every year around game 8, 9 or 10? Because the staff starts to panic and want to secure their jobs for one more year.

First it's Crowton, then it's Kragthorpe/Stud, now it's Cameron. Aren't we seeing the common denominator here?

We'll keep screaming it. Les Miles is the fricking Offensive Coordinator. It's his Offense and the OC's are calling plays according to the script that he gives them. Doesn't matter who the actual OC is.

This will not change until he's given an ultimatum to either change the Offense and let CC (Or somebody else) have full control or be terminated outright...........

Not sure if serious. Our QB's have been less than stellar.
