We shouldn't have lost that game like we did and wouldn't have if it weren't for all the flags. We may have won that game. That game was an anomaly not the norm. Y'all know that. We haven't seen a game like that from these coaches yet, it just all fell apart in that game.
Just because you say it doesn’t make it true.
Against Chattanooga we committed 11 penalties for 74 yards. This wasn’t an anomaly.

I never said and don't think we can't be competitive, these coaches must find a way to be competitive. If LSU can sign the right guys on the OL, at MLB, and WR who are SEC ready in this class, juco, HS, what ever, then we will be a much better team next year.
I don't see guys leaving early, we aren't good enough for them to leave early. Like I said if our coaches do their jobs then we can be in every game with a way to win it and they must find a way to win at Florida, Tenn, and the Auburn games IMO. If we at least win 2/3 and beat the teams we are supposed to then this season will be a good one given the position we in. They must find a way. It's not an excuse, good coaches find a way and we O must do that without letting this thing fall apart. Our fans need to support these guys though.

You continue to respond to me, and I've not personally bashed Orgeron once. I like O, and want him to succeed at LSU. I can assure you, as an LSU fan, I am rooting for whoever the HC is to succeed and will not personally bash anyone involved in a game.
Find one post where I've bashed him, personally.

How did they do at the end of last year immediately after Miles was fired though?
Les Miles offense was repeatedly flagged at key moments in the game and that was mostly cut out when he took over. So I've seen improvements. To think that all changed because of the coaching is crazy.

You’re the one that brought up penalties, not me. And you acted as though the State game was an anomaly when in fact we have had a game where we committed even more penalties than we did against State.
This is the shite that frustrates people. It’s just excuses excuses excuses and everyone else’s fault except for Orgeron. This is the kind of shite that sinks a program.

Ironic seeing as you're in every thread defending Orgeron with everything you can muster.
But he's "not an O supporter" (

I'm talking about at the end of last year there was improvements in the penalty department. They haven't had a good game in that department yet this year, but you can't tell me that some of those flags weren't borderline calls which are hardly ever called in most games. We must improve in that area BUT I saw that improvement at the end of last year so they were doing something right then?
Now all of a sudden that's changed? I don't think so. We are in our 4th week. There's a lot of new to this team so there will be mistakes. At the same time it's up to the coaches to cut that down and keep it to a minimum. I expect to see that in this up coming game.

"I try to be objective"
So do I.
Objectively, Miles was not meeting my expectations and neither is Coach O to this point in time. I am hoping that the St. game was a "shite can happen" moment but anyone not highly concerned over our play this whole season is not being objective but in denial.
But objectively, this whole JA experiment of propping us a HC with supposedly great coordinators stinks from the head down.
Objectively, I have no freaking idea how we get beat like a bad dog by a program we have owned for the most part of 20 yrs.

There isn't one excuse in my posts not one. It's the bias you have that makes you think that I am making up excuses. If you actually read my post fully you will see that I put it on the coaches.
I also don't hate the man or coach. I have real expectations, things are new, it's not going to be perfect. I'm not going to freak out after one game, I'm just not going to do that. I'm also not going to bring his OM record to LSU. He's here now and he's done a good job up to the State game. That's the facts. I will have to see more football period.

"The coaches aren't to blame." That's an excuse. Also false. We saw it last year with Orgeron against Florida. We also saw Aranda's defense lose focus against aTm.

It's not just the coaches, I think the players thought that they were better than they really are.
Excuse.

Thanks to Dellenger for laying it out. Everyone who has followed LSU football for more than 5 minutes knows that we are thin/young at ILB and on the D-line due to years of poor recruiting. The O-line was never expected to be dominant this season, but with with the attrition in the off-season they've gone from being serviceable to being a liability.
The question is one of culpability. Is this on O, or on Miles, or both?

Wow, so LSU is facing a huge rebuild with a coach whose only other experience in rebuilding a program was an abysmal failure. Cool!

So we can expect the program to be ready to roll once O is fired in three years and a real coach is brought in? Awesome!

They didn't even sign guys in the trenches a few years ago.
Brumfield, Clapp, Domond, Lacouteur, Godchaux, Dodd, Trey LMAOF, 2 Tehumas,Key, 2 Valentines, Weatherby, Washinton, Bower, Brown, Bain, Clark, Mcgee.
Some have moved on, transfer, etc, but were signed.
I hope players reading tRant forgive if I left them out or mispelled name.

Holy. shite. This is now the 2nd person in this thread acting like O's tenure at Ole Miss was a net positive. Hey they won 9 games with Nutt and all it took was 3 years of absolute misery... Sign me up!

Ok brb
I know that was a douchey post by me but I get sick of the older folks on this board telling posters to "get a job" when there is no way to know if someone does or doesn't have a job
