it would be pretty fricked up if miles benched lee for a qb that hasn't practiced with the team in the last 5, or played in a game since january.

I am not anti JJ. From the comfort of my living room he seems like a nice boy, but I watched a replay of the '10 MSU game on Thursday before this years game, and he looked so lost I was afraid we were going to lose this time. I remember how poorly he runs the offense and how painful and scary it is to watch. as to what CLM sees in JJ...I wish I knew. If some one could explain it to me, perhaps I would not be so frustrated.

we went for a majority of our season without a td pass from our starter.

Les didn't exactly handle the qb situation well last year

And still managed to win 11 games. Imagine that.
It appears to me that Ole Les knows what he's doing. I don't think there is any rule that stated that TD passes are a must in each game. I think you can win without them. Do you think it's possible?

He won't so Lee's most ardent supporters can stop whining about it.

Anyone in this thread using the "the coaches know more about football than you, and so therefor know that JJ was the better player" argument need to understand this: In order for this statement to be valid, you have to admit that the Tennessee game last year was handled in a way superior to what you would have done. By saying a coach made a mistake that you wouldn't have made you are saying the professional coaches aren't always right.

Coaches, especially stubborn ones, make poor decisions sometimes and ours might have an unparalleled track record in making terrible decisions. So when I see someone say "Miles knows who the best qb is," I laugh that they are so unconfident in their assessment of football that they would rather unconditionally trust the judgement of the coach from the Tennessee game.

How do you know? He might have felt Lee needed to come off the bench to be effective last year. None of us know that if Lee had more involvement he would he done better, the same, or worse.

if miles yanks lee from the starter spot for no reason other than JJ getting cleared, the majority of the fan base would go ballistic on him.

Agreed. I just can't see it happening like that.

Les carries around a magic 8 ball in his hat. It dictates every decision he has ever made.

What's comical is what you pull out of my post. Where the frick do you get facial expressions??

"explain why JJ continues to look just as confused in the closings of games last year as he did when he first got here?"
To look just as confused isn't a facial expression? Do you even read your own post?

quote:

Spiking the ball with 1 second left is more than a facil expression, the guy is as fricking lost as you are.

So how does that coincide with "looking confused"?
I'm afraid that the confusion lies with you.

he's not coming back any time soon. the GJ will consider all the evidence, and will not determine his innocence/guilt, but simply look at the whole picture and determine whether it is a probability that a jury could find a crime was committed. "probability" is hard to define, sometimes 30%, sometimes 51% chance.

given the testimony and video camera evidence, could be a chance for an indictment.

oh, and yes, this is nothing more than spin from the defense atty. of course he's going to find whatever he can to help his client in the public opinion race.

lets let this thing play out. again, 'playing out' will take more than a week or two. sorry, gents.

Its much more about logic than hate.

So is it logical to refuse the team another offensive option that a running QB would provide?

Was that the game JJ ran for a long TD?
