have a bad feeling JJ (or his family) gets out in the media and starts spouting off about how he fully expects the QB position to be a contested one and he's ready to compete for the starting job...or something along those lines.

Ditto , I'm thinking he is the apple and the one who slowed this team down.

Adversity? I know lots of players support JJ and Miles does well with adversity, but the point is still valid. I supported JJ and didn't want him to be dragged through all of this, but I am not sure whether or not he is good to have back on the team at this moment in time. Miles will have to play this very, very carefully to avoid distractions to the team and his current starting QB.

So some of our best players rocking #9 on their arms wouldnt be a distraction? Yet weve won every game a player has done that. It would be very stupid to think JJ hasnt had any contact with any of his teammates through all this.

The season would be half over before he would have any chance to be inserted into a game. Even then, it is very unlikely that he would play significant snaps. That is not a good recipe for impressing NFL scouts that have watched him under-perform for several years.

NFL personnel people fall in love with "measurables" . JJ would still have significant playing experience against the best competition in college football. He would still be 6'5 and run a pretty good 40. As for JJ underperforming, NFL gurus are also arrogant pricks. The believe that they can take any player that has great physical ability and turn him into a good NFL player. JJ will or won't get a chance in pro football based more on what he does at the combine and Pro Day than what he does in the last half of this season.

You do realize that the GJ just determined he probably kicked a defenseless guy in the head, right? He ain't coming back anytime soon

Actually the GJ has determined that there is enough evidence that is should go to a jury for determination. An indictment does not mean guilty or even probably happened. It means "could have happened" and let the jury decide. Just my two cents worth

Guess you didnt watch his deal on espn. He made one slip up about the george/thomas Jefferson thing. Which is not a big deal considering the amount of other idiots in this country like the WVU fanbase.

Paid by who? If I was going to try and get paid, I would say Claiborn or #7. Not someone with no future. I know his auntie dont have it

it also likely this kid doesnt know who these other guys are. They werent big names like Peterson last year, and Jordan is talked about so much cus he was the qb it would be hard not to know that living in Baton Rouge. Yes i have friends that dont follow LSU religiously, they may get drunk and go to the games, but they dont know the players and prob dont even give full attention to the games.

fricking myth. We have running backs for that. JJ is not a running QB anyways. He is a QB who has the ability to move if he needs too, but often times he does so at the peril of his accuracy and decision making.

Why do you keep making shite up? The game plan was to secure the ball and not turn it over like in 08. That is still our gameplen this year, except for Lee is gaining more and more confidence we still dont sling the ball around, what games have you watched?

I really really really hope Jefferson doesnt take another snap at LSU.
If he doesn't take another snap, he can come back next season and screw up Metts coming out party. Let him close out whatever games the Tigers have in the bag so he can burn his the senior year and leave no chance of a return in 2012. That's if he doesn't decide to transfer out to another school for 2012, which would be the preferred option.

The worst thing JJ did for himself is let Lee get on the field. Now it is clear that Lee is better than JJ by a large margin.

Even if he comes back it is Lee's job. This isn't a situation where JJ was injured and Lee came in for him. JJ caused this too happen by putting himself in a poor position.

Anybody that thinks he is going to be in the rotation is kidding themselves.
