I am extremely displeased with Orgeron. Didn't like the hire from the start, don't like Orgeron as a person, and hate all these moves and hires he's making.

But holy shite this melt IS getting old and tired. There's nothing any of us can do about the current staff, so we might as well just accept it. We can do this again in the fall if the team sucks.

nice try. what they mean is that the bitching and moaning is not going to change things for the coming year with regards to the coaching staff and/or administration.

These two are not mutually exclusive.

The administration controls the levers of the program, not posters here. An angry post here "does not change anything" on the coaching staff. Having said that, I'm not sure what the point of that argument is. Who ever posts here because they expect direct results in the real world?

Posts here, however, are a defining component of the perception of the program and the pulse of the fanbase. It is conceivable that a trend of negative threads here could create an impression, deserved or otherwise, that the sky is falling. No one wants to join an organization whose truest loyalists are vocally pessimistic about their future.


I for one think we should wait for something bad to actually happen before we start writing obituaries.

But those convinced we have already passed a "time to do something about it" threshold are entitled to express that opinion, and the negative impact on the LSU brand is overstated, at least.

I does get depressing, though. THis place has been a real downer of late.

And nothing you don't like about the staff is going to fundamentally change before we get some actual data, anyway, so the constant bitching does get tiresome. Which I think was the whole point to begin with.

We will soon know for sure, one way or another.
