Offensive teams always state the same argument, "our offensive is better than your defense." The one good defensive team they've played this year, held then to only 17 points with a scoreless second half at home. Also, I think they scored on Florida early because it was early in the season, and their new system presented Florida with the unexpected. I think this is going to be a "Welcome to the SEC" game. I'm actually looking for "Johnny Football" to be "Johnny hurt and on the sideline."

While we're playing this game, would you mind posting the defensive ranks for all TAMU's opponents?

My point should be immediately apparent.

What say me?

2010 Cotton Bowl
[link=(2010 Cotton Bowl)]https://espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?gameId=310070245[/link]

A&M was on a 6 Game Win streak beating Ranked Nebraska, Ranked OU, @ Texas and @ Baylor.

They were being called one of the hottest teams at the end of the 2010 season.

Where was the Cotton bowl Played?

Here's where A&M will break down. Johnny Foozeball will be contained. No problem b/c A&M likes to sling it right? Problem will be that Johnny Foozeball won't get all night to do so. So what's next? A&M going to run the ball? lol yea ok.

We'll play the punting game b/c that's what we like to do, problem is in the 2nd half the punting game isn't as fun for other teams and they get worn out and pissed off. They make a mistake, we capitalize and put 14+.

Game Over.

What you should be asking your idiot friend is exactly WHO THE FRACK has A&M played? Name a defense that even comes close? Florida on week 2? They lost that game ’in’ College Station.

The rankings for total defenses that A&M has played: LA Tech 90th (won) Ole Miss 42nd (won) Arkansas 53rd (won) South Carolina State ? (won) SMU 76th (won) Florida 13 (lost) Aggies have played one defense ranked higher than 42nd? And they are bragging about a "high powered" offense? C'mon man!

Skillet...it's called PERSPECTIVE, I've been going to A&M games since I was 4 in '68. I know when we've been good and can beat really good teams, and when the odds aren't in our favor. Not trying to be nice, just being a realist, and I don't talk shite b/c it ALWAYS comes back to bite you in the arse.

Two can play at that game. Here are the defensive rankings for the teams A&M's vaunted offense has faced:

Florida (13)
SMU (76)
South Carolina St. (FCS, nr)
Arkansas (94)
Ole Miss (42)
Louisiana Tech (123)

Looks like the only real defense they played (Florida), they lost to.

I'll say this. I think A&M can beat LSU. I just don't think it will be b/c of the claimed Power Offense. LSU (like they are known to do) would have to do a lot of foot shooting.

So they have a chance, especially playing in 12th man. A&M WILL BE UP to play @ Home. Always are.

Let's use common sense here. If an offense plays a horrible defense, then they are more likely to be on the field for more plays, thereby scoring more points.

Same shite we hear every year from Big12/PAC12/WVU/etc.

rank the defenses aTm has played and you will see the same shite going the other way. aTm's great #5 offense managed 49 yds in the second half against Florida who's the only defense they faced that's comparable to us. Not that worried about our D. I am more worried about our O and ST at this point.

I'm not saying we will rack up a ton of offense. Their D is certainly talented. I'm simply making the point (for those the like conclusions) that the LSU D is untested against a great offense.

A$M is about to learn about Defensive impact on offenses.

LSU I believe is ranked #2 in total defense...this guy is implying we haven't played anyone yet with an offense.

I think we smack them

Chance yes...but we'll need some turnovers, D to keep us in it (Like Fl), and play error free ball. I'm just not sure our 3 DT rotation can stand up for 4 qtrs.

One thing i know for a fact is your not about to run up the score on LSU and i don't care if you have the number 1 offense in college. This is a proven fact. Another fact is if you don't have an elite defense then you are not about to stop our running game. This is another proven fact. If mett don't spot A & M a touchdown then we should win by a couple touchdowns or 4 fieldgoals.
