So, we decided to finally get rid of cable, and I went with sling. Will a digital antenna from Walmart or Best Buy be able to reliably pick up the game?

Should've waited until the middle of next week to cancel

Yes it will.

It will be a clear crisp picture as well.

Depends on where you live. There’s a signal strength chart online which recommends what kind of antenna you’ll need.

I have one I bought cheap off amazon. I get like 18 channels. And all the locals. ABC included.

I hope sling works out for you, but I had it last week for the LSU game (and watched others) and it kept stopping and resetting or loading the feed. I have other streaming services and never have this problem. I've had sling before and it worked well, but this time around not so much.

I cancelled and went with the cable company streaming service.

I hate these threads, "I canceled my health insurance, can I get an appendectomy from a vet school student?"

It will as long as the antenna has a large enough pick up range to reach the abc tower

Should've gotten YouTube TV. You get all the local channels and a ton of sports channels.

Get the one at Walmart for 49.99. It supposed to have a 150mi range.

I tried it this morning. Got 47 channels from Pensacola to New Orleans

The brand is Onn

second this. I've had two. I'm in Bogalusa and get about 20 channels from NO and can spin it to get some channels from the coast. The newer antenna's "box" didn't work as well as the original so I used the originals box.

I bought a decent but cheap one off Amazon (roof mount version because of the quality difference) but accidentally double ordered. It's still in the unopened box. I was too busy to return it, I would be willing to sell it to you for really cheap if you are in the Baton rouge area. It works great and is what I watch all the public broadcast games on. That also goes for anyone that's interested in it. I have too much crap in my attic anyways...

I bought this and connected in the attic today. Over 60 channels, with the indoor ones they either work or don’t there’s no way to tell.

We went to sling last year and can’t pickup ABC on an antenna. Just use the espn app through Roku.
