It’s always interesting why nobody saw it earlier or mentioned the obvious BK issues earlier? Every person with 2 eyes ?? and a pulse could see it!
The lack of engagement, lack of knowing his team, no energy, no positive feedback from the team, the lack of knowing what was going on every Saturday!
It was lack of oversight by Woody, another bad hire and afraid to call it a bad hire! Woody didn’t want to fall on his sword for a bad hire in his money making sport! Both needed to be fired earlier!

Say what you will about Gordon, and I have a lot to say, but he's a great brand-builder

You can’t make this up, only in Louisiana do the ambulance chasing injury attorneys break more LSU news than the beat writers...

this right here. if you don't think Landry is the one mainly responsible for turning this into a circus, you aren't very good at reading between the lines. He's a dumbed down version of Huey P and he's set this state back even further and that's hard to accomplish. now his ego and lack of intelligence is bleeding into LSU football.

If he was in those meetings that talked about a damaged brand, how would the same exact people be ok with all of this playing out so publicly?

They wouldn't. But, they are much smarter and aren't going to air their dirty laundry for everyone to see.

Imagine how pissed the booster who committed the money to buy out Kelly is. He agreed to it presumably because he has a personal interest in keeping/bringing LSU to the top of the college football landscape.

Within 2 days, the governor poisoned the well needlessly and made this next hire very, very challenging.

He HAS to be thinking, "Why the hell did I pay that money?"

because he was getting more and more defiant of the admin and had become toxic Kelly clearly saw this coming, there had been conversations leading to this

I'm gonna need some context

That’s just what I think happened. But I’m not sure what context you may need to see how I came to that conclusion.

Hypothetical

If LSU didnt fire kelly, then pay him 10 million a year over the next 5 years, his regular salary.

Hire an up and coming coach with fire in his belly for 3 mil and ride it out till kelly gets paid off.. he cant get a new job while on payroll.

top shelf coaches today will demand 12-15 mil a year with multi year contracts.

Coaches at the end of their career are just looking for a big pay day anyways.

Young coach could pay off big time or he could be a bust like keeping kelly would be.

Wait, he was in the meeting? And he is saying out loud that he was not fired for cause? Its just keeps getting worser.

There are 2 meetings that are being talked about.

1. The meeting at LSU with AD staff and BK. BK says it was Woody, Verge, Austin, and another deputy director (Cromer, I believe)

2. The meeting at the Gov's Mansion with boosters and apparently a ton of Attorneys. Gordan was at this meeting. He has stated that.

Got it. I still don't think Gordon's comments help LSU's case about firing for cause as he is clearly in the inner circle. Seems like a meeting at the governor's office would be a little more top secret than that.
