LSU Scoring Defense: 9th nationally (9.3 ppg)
Ole Scoring Offense: 12th nationally (44.8 ppg)

Ole Miss Scoring Defense: 42nd nationally (18.8 ppg)
LSU Scoring Offense: 77th nationally (29 ppg)

I think Ole Miss has played a better offense in Arkansas than we've faced this year, so the defensive rankings may be a bit closer, but we're obviously an elite unit up until this point.

On the other side of the ball, we've played much better defenses than they have as well, so the offenses might be closer than that.

Should be a good game.

Cancels each other out. LSU will have to score over 30 to win this game. OM offense is elite. LSU will have to run the ball and work the clock to keep OM off the field. If LSU cannot run we lose.

OM has played shitty comp so far, I don't see them scoring 20 points on us. They loose to Arky if not for a late fumble.

I don't think Ole Miss will be held to sub-20 all season. I bet they get to at least 24 on us. Kiffin will pull out all the stops and have their offense ready to go. We'll have to show up on offense as well.

They scored 23 on us last year, with a veteran QB and our d was nowhere near as good.

They're at home. Also last year they had some serious boneheaded plays (drops) and we got fortunate because our defense was not good. They still put up 464 yards of offense even with the drops.

They were better last year, I agree, but they are still a very good offense this year and they're at home.

Arkansas is a good offensive team but when your defense constantly cannot get lined up right that tells me that you are not a very good defense. Would also tell you that it is much harder to get on the same page defensively with tempo when you are the home team if you are not a good communicating defense. And to me it sure seems like they are not great at communicating.

I agree with what you're saying, i just have complete faith in this d. Plus there QB's are inexperienced. However, I think our O will put up some points hopefully

24 seems to be a hinge point for us. We're 2-11 if we score 24 or less under Lane Kiffin.

How often have we gone fast tempo on offense this year? I feel like we're always slow to get the play off, but maybe that's just a feeling not based on fact.

I agree, they have their issues with organization and communication. I'd love us to throw tempo in their faces sporadically in the game.

We have gone tempo rarely this season but I would expect us to go tempo this game at certain times. They would be making a very big mistake after watching the Ole Miss film if they didn't institute tempo during certain times this week. I hope we use tempo with our first 15 plays to start the game. Especially after the first, first down of a drive going tempo should be used.

We have been practicing tempo a good bit the last few weeks so I would be shocked if we didn't utilize it against Ole Miss.

We went up tempo a ton against SLU. We’ll use it against Ole Miss for sure.

I think LSU has played slightly better competition. OMs opponents' opponents are weak.

OMs run d is not good.

LSU run vs OM front 7 - wash. LSU hasn't been great but OM has been downright terrible. If LSU can get to the century mark, it means LSUs offense is performing better than expected.

LSU pass vs OM secondary - advantage LSU. Nuss is healthy and started to look sharp last week. OM doesn't have the athletes to cover the tigers. LSU pass pro has been quite good. OM is low on sacks

OM run vs LSU front 7 - advantage LSU. There's nothing about OMs run game that suggests they're going to have sustained success against the Tigers.

OM pass vs LSU secondary - advantage LSU. The tigers have been excellent, great coverage, solid tackling. OM WRs are not scary. Baker's pass rush has been diabolical

Sloan vs Golding - wash. Golding lost too much and is fighting with 1 hand tied behind his back. Sloan may not be elite but he's capable of calling a solid game

Kiffin vs baker - advantage baker. The tigers are loaded. Kiffin is elite at times but his personnel isn't scary good like previous years

X factor - advantage OM. They've built a solid home atmosphere and always, always bring it vs LSU more than any other team. I think it keeps the rebs in the game

Something like
LSU 21
OM 20
