I’d check out Aggie park right outside of the stadium. Lots of tailgating there. Bar wise I’d definitely recommend Dixie chicken at north gate. It’s their bar area and on game day will have a ton of LSU fans there.
You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how friendly Aggie fans are. It’s nothing like going to Bama Florida or Ole Miss at all. They are very welcoming. Almost to a point where it’s weird. Like dude talk some shite

Bats are in this part of Texas. Not that big of a deal.
Ans yeah. It’s been renovated. Now it’s an amazing stadium that’s worth seeing.
I caught shite about Kyle while trying to help one of yall with recommendations for the weekend in CS
Tiger stadium has an incredible atmosphere, but it’s mostly dump outside of the atmosphere.

You’re obviously an Aggie, so you have to admit a little bias.
Comparing the stadiums is apples to oranges.
Tiger Stadium was “well thought out” from the get go.
Kyle Field was not. It looked terrible and had to be essentially torn down and rebuilt from the ground up. There’s something to be said about maintaining the history and original concept of a stadium, and expanding while staying within the stadium’s footprint.
Texas A&M had available space around Kyle Field to tear it down and rebuild.
Could TS use an improvement to the concourses and certain amenities within the stadium? Sure. But space and footprint is an issue, LSU’s campus and the area immediately around the stadium is vastly different from A&M.
And Tiger stadium, along with other LSU football facilities, have been very “properly funded”. Don’t get that twisted.
Maybe come back and talk shite when your program has actually won something. Until then, all you have is a nice stadium.
By the way, high school recruits (many of them from Texas) seem to like Tiger Stadium just fine

I'll be there with my 3 kids.
Trying to online research about best place to park and get there with kids.
Anybody actually setting up a tailgate? I hate trying to bother people. Much rather throw in some beers and some dollars and have a bowl of some good cajun food

Eh, Tiger Stadium reminded me of the Oakland A's stadium. It had nostalgia sure, but it was really run down and smelled like stale beer and piss.

I lived in Baton Rouge for 21 years of my life and have been to countless games at Tiger Stadium. So I feel quite qualified to weigh in on both stadiums.
It’s inconvenient to move around. It’s exceptionally ugly when you’re in the concourse area. And it’s generally hard to move around in it.
And there are large parking lots surrounding about half of Tiger stadium. It’s not exclusively wedged somewhere where work can’t be done. Maybe upgrade the bathrooms. The concessions.
The club areas are fine. I’ve been in there years ago. But it’s not where 90% of the people are sitting.

Depending on where you’re staying, I like to park at the polo road parking garage. It’s about a mile walk but there is a bus that runs nearby. If you can tolerate the walk with the kids, it’s an enjoyable one through famous. It’s $20 to park there but you can park on a surface lot or in the garage.
Alternatively, I’ve heard of many people parking in downtown Bryan and taking the shuttle from there. A lot of people recommend it but I’ve never done it.

Aggies can get pretty grabby at times, so beware, but it’s with males about 99.9% of the time.

Tiger fans seem to be really hung up on homoeroticism. Yall are like the nightmare on elm street 2 of SEC fanbases. Makes me wonder what yall do when back at your parishes.

What’s the best place to watch the game if you don’t get tickets?
Posted on 10/23/24 at 10:45 pm to genuineLSUtiger
In Moscow, stadium visits you.

Chimis is a fun place to watch the game. It’ll be packed. But it’s a solid choice.
The backyard has a large LED video board and a comfortable outdoor seating.
I’ve heard some people watch it at Good Bull. But I don’t know exactly what it’s like.
All of those options are walking distance from the stadium and nearly next door to each other in the northgate district.
If you want something more mature, Carneys is a great choice just a short drive away from campus. Huge outdoor area with lots of TVs. Decent food.

Hell if I know, I'll be at the game. Why would you come to college station to not watch the game at Kyle?
