I like this thread.

It's baseball and on any given night teams at this level can win, regardless of who they're playing.

Javen Coleman hasn’t pitched in a while, getting in more recovery from TJ and rest, since we’ve been smashing teams. I’m ready for him to go deep in one of these next games and show what we have next year as well.

If our offense plays to potential, we don't have to worry who we start on pitching. They are that good.

During the regular season our relievers have been stretched out at one point or another. There won’t be a situation where a three-out pitcher like devin fontenot has to all of sudden throw 90 pitches

WFU showed their hand - low breaking balls. If and when we get past Tennessee, we will come out pissed off and focused against Wake. Lay off the balls, pray for a consistent strike zone, load up the bases on walks, and then smash their pitchers' mistakes back in their stupid spastic faces.
I'm sure we'll hear that the rest of their pitching crew is the second coming of Nolan Ryan, but they've burned through some arms. We still have Coleman, who has been very solid for the most part since coming back, one of our best relievers in Ack, Guidry who just needs a consistent zone called on the curveball, Money in a friendly park, long reliever potential in Herring, and maybe some Cooper.
Look for the bats to be adjusted and dialed in for round 2. It's all on them. This shite's far from over if they come out on fire and maintain focus. We've got the talent, we just need to have the will to settle for nothing less. 10-5 Tigers, 10-5 Tigers. You heard it here first.
And frick Tennessee, I'm not even talking about them.

as I posted before this started, we ain't going very deep into this with only one pitcher, only way is if everything goes our way, last night the pitching was up to the task but our batters went cold, ump didn't help but he was all over the place with both teams, so consistently sucked, hoping for the best

Glass half full only thread.
For tonight’s game Tennessee won’t have Lindsey, Dollander, or Burns.

We're still in Omaha and we can still win it all
Wake better hope they don't see us again

One of the weakest aspects of the team, the bullpen, is peaking right now. I'm hoping we are still in for a few surprises. Playing with house money now, so the pressure is off and we play loosely. Any additional win from here on out is bonus.

In a tight game we need to manufacture runs. Can't keep stranding runners. If that means you bunt Crews then so be it if he is still struggling at the plate.

Even though our bullpen has had issues, everyone in Omaha is only averaging 4 runs/game and our bullpen has been better than expected ever since postseason started.
We have the best lineup in the country so we just need to manufacture runs and we will win. if any team can break out of a hitting slump it’s the Tigers.

People have this mindset that there’s only one way to win this tournament, when in reality, it can and HAS been won in many different ways
Are the odds in our favor at the moment? Absolutely not, but we are still in it and still have a shot, provided a couple of things go our way
I still believe.. but I’d wager that almost half of this wretched place has already mailed it in.
There’s a bunch of front running pussies on this board

I will need a FULL GLASS of Pappy Van Winkle if we lose

I hope that ump is happy that he will be rated as one of the worst CWS umps of ALLTIME calling balls & strikes. Yes -it’s only a game— but that umpire was the worst after the 6th on.
