I would be happy with a two loss season especially if both losses were outside of the SEC WEst

Ours fans have high expectations this season. Good. But realistic expectations probably include 2 losses, considering the OOC schedule and the fact that the West is the best division in all of college football.

is there any reason not to just hand over the reigns to ZM and take our lumps this season?

Yes. National Championship potential. I want the best product on the field this season. If we look like we aren't competing for any championships midway through the season, then go ahead and take some lumps.

That is exactly what should be done !

and we will ruin another QB by forcing them to play before ready.

BTW ..there are other games after UO...the season will not be an automatic wash-out should we lose to UO

Yes, CLM plays favorites, because he really DOESN'T want TO WIN. He REALLY hates it at LSU and wants to do everything he can to jeopardize his job and his big salary.

And apparently these tendencies carry over into the NFL. Pro scouts and coaches play favorites as well. There is no other way to explain Ridley getting drafted and Keiland Williams being a free agent.

3 factors influence those decdisions:

1) future
2) financial
2) fit within any one team

it is not a direct comparison of talent or ability..not that simple.

Man, I don't get off on bashing posters/posts, but this Mett taking the reigns talk needs to pretty much stop now.

No matter how bad Lee looks, understand here and now he is our best chance to win. The thought that a juco guy (with a similar skill set, no less), no matter how heralded, could come in and be more effective than a guy that's been in the system for 4 years is really nuts.

If you believe that, then in terms of playing the qb position, you place no importance/give no creedance to timing, maturity, offensive complexity, development, trust, and a buncha other attributes particularly valuable to the position.

Mett may very well be a great quarterback at lsu before he leaves, but he won't be better than Lee this year. It just doesn't work like that.

i will say in all fairness we did do that with one qauterback and it worked out somewhat alright. Do you remember Marcus Randall the bluegrass miracle QB, well he was passed for Matt Mauck, then came back the next year played a little as a senior and was passed up by Jamarcus Russel, i mean he never won a championship but he did win. So it can work like that....

Huh? KW got more playing time in the NFL then he did at LSU. Embarassing. Even Mike Shanahan had good things to say about KW.
