Ranked 7th going into A&M game meant we were still in contention.

Do you remember 2007...some crazy shite happened for us to make the BCSNCG

I'm trying to find competiveness here. Looks like we were trying to be for about 5 minutes

Also gained over 500 total yards and only had 17 points

We need both to lose to sneak in with 2 losses.

Remember what happened in 2007...i guess it was wrong to hope for some upsets to help us out

Thank you for an honest post! Its refreshing to see an honest post instead clamoring that O is the best and Slinger is the best OC in the country. When the O doesnt perform well its always another coach to blame.

"Competitive is subjective"

Rickydude

When you say the game was never competitive and we are 1 play away from tying late in the 3rd, youre lying or dont understand the definition of competitive.

You do understand the definition of the word "NEVER" and the word " Competitive " right?

You said we were never competitive in the ole miss game. In fact we were 1 play awsy from tying the game late in the 3rd quarter. I can give you some actual games we were never competitive in if youd like.2015 ole miss isnt one of them.

It was time for les to go. I think he should have left in 2009 it was bs what he did with our talent.

Ed took over a team and no one backed him. He fell into the spot, he is not the fancy coach that I wanted but he does everything better then les miles does... EVERYTHING! He is not the best but he knows what needs to happen and is making things happen and getting the players we need. Their are some misses but overall he is doing great. And improving. It's a matter of time before fans and media are all in then everything will be in our reach. Hoping this next year is it. Geaux tigers!

In the the 2nd half we were 1 possession down. Do i need to define the word, "NEVER"?

Again, we got beat pretty good but saying we were never competitive is wrong.

Here are some games that we were never competitive in.....

2014 Auburn
2015 arky
2017 miss state
2015 bama
2018 bama

Those games were never competitive.
At no point were we close to tying the game late. Again, its subjective.

Your insane coach o is doing everything better then les ever did if you should support the man. He will fail or succeed in the next year or two and then you can go get your pitchforks or enjoy the tiger resurgence.

He took that talent and had one of the most accomplished tenures in sec history let alone lsu history.

You see these are the posts i have a problem with. Its as if Miles' tenure wasnt amazing. He outstayed his welcome but if you asked any lsu fan if they would sign up for 10 years we won 1 national title, played in a another, won 3 west titles and was one of the top 5 programs in cfb EVERYRONE WOULD SIGN UP FOR IT.

Do i think a better x and O coach wouldve done better than miles with the talent miles brought in? Sure but thats not how it works. There are very few elite x and O coaches that are also elite recruiters. Thats what makes them the best coaches in cfb.

Youre sitting here ragging on a tenure where we had more top 10 finishes than the previous 40 years of lsu football combined. A tenure with as many top 5 finishes as saban, mac, and dietzel combined.

If O has the same type of success and people are shitting on his tenure? Ill be saying the same thing.

We were never competitive despite owning the stats. We were within 7 for literally minutes.

Ole miss basically took it easy on us in the 4th quarter.

By your definition, we were competitive with Bama this year in the first quarter so basically at some point we are competitive every game

How do you pick up 500 yards and only score 17?

Based on what? He still has a worse win % than miles and thats using 2 seasons against 11.

He is recruiting a class that was expected out of Miles.

His offense is even worse than miles' offenses.

When you say things like this, you need facts to back it up.

The greatest season of ed orgeron's career is a 3 loss season.

Are you under the impression i want or ask for his firing?

Ive said numerous times that if he hired a good spread OC that he could win titles at lsu with aranda.

You were happy with 2008 and 2009 season? We won despite les miles and it was infuriating. 2010 2011 should have been back to back national championship years.

I'm hoping O is more successful than Les was since Saban became head coach at bama....Miles wasn't great after 2007

Imo lsu has so much talent and such a pull all they need is a coach not to frick shite up. And so far coach o is not messing anything up. He is doing exactly what we need him to. Provide stability and continuity. The players are coming and even more will come and lsu will begin to get the matching elite o line and d line talent to go with skill positions. We keep going in the direction we are going now and next year only 2 reg season losses maybe a 3rd in the right scenario and we will be back. This year we lost 2 games we hopefully win going forward. But we did not get blown out they were very close losses and a call here or there and we win.

The 1st quarter? Using this logic every game is competitive.
