O is a spread OC away from titles. The problem is he is attached to Ensminger.

I would put 12 a notch above 09, 13, and 15.

12 and 10 should be good, with the 3 loss seasons being par.

Regardless, if that’s ow you view it, why do you and yours hate on the guy so much again???

ETA: My List:

Great seasons: 05, 06, 07, 11
Good seasons: 2010, 12
Par: 09, 13, 15
Bad: 08, 14

The 1st quarter? Using this logic every game is competitive.

That's using your logic, Cletus. 5 minutes of being one TD down in a 21 point loss in which we started off down 24 isn't a competitive game.

So, Miles was great after 2007 then.

So, LSU's 2018 season was good, not great.

Good to know what I've been saying all along is actually what most would agree with when they stop getting their panties in a wad over me not crowning Edward just yet.

let me try to explain what good and great are defined as and you tell me...

Good-ranked in top 25
Great-ranked in top 10
Bad-unranked

so maybe we should take your definition of great to only mean years we won the west...then miles only had 3 great seasons? or do we go with SEC titles and he only had 2 great seasons?

2 or fewer losses is great.
3-4 is good.
5+ is bad.

3 loss seasons are now "great"?

ETA: Coincidentally, this falls exactly in line with what you've listed out for Miles. The criteria just changes so you can claim a 3 loss season as being great for Edward.

Weird how that happens.

9-4 seasons aren't bad. Add another tier in there if you wish.

Finishing in the top 10 while competing for the West is great. Finishing in the top 10 while 3rd in the West and 3 games from the lead?

No, that's good.

Fair enough. I'm just following Trout's logic. The shifting criteria is tough to keep up with though.

Ricky isn't your definition of a great season 10 wins? or is it 2 or less losses? Do final rankings matter? Only championship seasons count as great?

LSU was the highest ranked 3 loss team in 2012 at #14. There were 17 teams in 2012 that finished with 2 or fewer losses. They had 2 wins against teams that finished in the top 10 and all 3 losses came against teams that finished ranked in the top 11. They were 1 win away from winning the West.

This is a perfect example of why just using final rankings is dumb.

So, either add 12 to the list of great seasons, or remove 18. They're basically identical. The only difference is 2018 had significantly less 2 loss teams.

wait yesterday you were bitching that final rankings were the best way record wins vs top 10 teams...which means you can only beat the #1 team if they finish #1 at the end of the season...that's brilliant logic
