Why is this a bigger bowl than the peach bowl in 2012oe the 2010 Cotton Bowl?

We weren't competitive in any of the losses. They were pretty one sided

The lsu ole miss gane was a 7 point game with 2 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter.

Never competitive is what bama did to us in 2015 and 2018.

Context gets coaches fired

Context allows you to maintain your spot in polls despite losing a game

Context allows you to go to better bowl games

Context matters & there are real life consequences because of it.

Context allows you to feel better about going into next year.

Yet Sammy does not want to deal in context so he can attempt to win a argument on a message board & look like a complete idiot.

So what your saying is we were kinda close for over half a game, and that kind of mediocrity is ok

We lost three games in a row by more than two TDs.

That's terrible.

Our context is going to a major bowl as 3 loss team just like 2015 ole miss.
The same ole miss that bash miles for losing to.

Lets see.

2015 ole miss

Best win # 1 bama

2018 lsu
Best win
3 loss uga

Ole miss 1st sec choice by bowl
Lsu 2nd sec choice by bowl

Youre touting a season thats worse than 2015 ole miss.let that sink in

Im correctly saying the game was competitive.

Never competitive is what auburn did to us in 2014, what bama did in 2015&2018. Imo anyway. Competitive is subjective.

10-4 florida 2015
10-3 uga 2018

Wow such a difference.

Florida losses 4 games by a combined score of 52-132. They finish 25 in polls.

UGA losses 3 games, two by a TD or less & will finish in top 12

Yea, no difference.

Yes, I know I’m right.

I readily agree the fiesta bowl is what seperates the 2 seasons for me.

You're clinging to a 1 game better win

I think this season is better but not by much and only because they allowed 3 sec teams in major bowls.

This season is as good as the 2015 ole miss season. Man we are moving on up.

A 21 point loss being defended as competitive Talk about mediocrity. Then a 17 pt loss a week later

Those three games are what's turned the base against Kevin Steele.

If you’re ok with losing to ole miss by 3 TDs a week after losing by 17 at home to Ark, don’t ever say shite about standards & expectations again

I have no problem with the season ole miss had that year. I do have a problem with them blowing LSU out

With that being said, you clearly can’t see 2015 as an equal to 2018 LSU or 2015 ole miss simply because of 3 losses, so thank you for that

Coach Orgeron has done a very good job this season. Kudos to his staff and their players.

Exactly. Anything under a 24 point loss is competitive therefore ok.

Let's see how he holds this standard

Sorry but how are you comparing the pecking order during the BCS to the pecking order during the CFP?

The fiesta wasn’t a CFP game
It didn’t have tie ins

And it got like a G6 team and the 4th ranked SEC team.

Or a resume that says you’re a top 12 team compared to a fringe top 25 team like 2015 FL was

1 game... bwhahaha

don't know why you argue with the angry pessimist people. The national media knows, the coaches of other teams around the country know, college football fans know, and 99% of LSU fans know that 2018 was a good season and better than 2015. For one thing just look at the polls. 2015 we ended up #17 in the AP poll and #16 in the coaches poll. In 2018 we are going to end up in the top 10 in both of them.

That awesome offense he's touting so hard in 2015 averaged 16 points a game in November of that year.
