Cincinnati Enquirer is held in much more regard than the grocery store tabloid.

I know you enjoy researching, so you can check this, but after a quick search I got that the Cincinnati Enquirer has a higher circulation than The Advocate. The Advocate number was from 2013 though.

Not sure how #7 would feel about you referring to him as “smallish”

Whatever they are paying you, it’s too much

This team could win 6 games or be up near 12 and neither would surprise me.

This is where I'm at. It can easily be a bad season with all of the uncertainty with the offense. There is talent there, but so many of the skill positions are being replaced and we have no idea whether Ensminger can put together an effective gameplan. If the offense settles in early and if we are able to knock of Miami to start the season, I think we have a solid 2018.

I'm not worried about the D unless we have injuries at CB. We are deep and talented everywhere else. I think they keep us in striking distance in most games if the offense can capitalize.

Good write up except for this. This is just flat out incorrect.

ETA: Unless Aranda is willing to use one of the safeties in the nickel. If so, the writer may be on to something.

Was some talk of Todd Harris playing some nickel. Could see Monroe being effective there too.

But yeah that was a pretty inaccurate assessment of our secondary depth.

It does create mismatches if a safety is playing nickel, but if LSU's front is as disruptive as we hope it won't be much of a problem.

I can't be sure if we win or lose but I'd be shocked if the Canes could drop 23 on this defense. Praying not to be shocked.

Because Ree knows we still have O and doesn't want to say that Joe puts us over the top since it still may not make up for O's shortcomings.

That explanation doesn’t make sense.

He had no issue saying that LSU was going to have a good season before we had Burrow so why would O’s shortcomings matter now?

Actually, if you pay attention Ree doesn't ever make any predictions or proclamations about LSU this season.

In my opinion, Ree and many like him are scared to death of Burrow being here. Having Burrow, a well-trained QB untainted by the former regime here, essentially renders many excuses that he'd use moot. Orgeron has no excuses not to succeed and he knows it.

You really should stop posting about this. Thinking the newspapers are linked because of the word "Enquirer" makes you look really, really stupid.

I think Burrow is the smarter QB and will be much smarter with the ball, as Rozier even though having the so called experience, might hurt him more than help bc he will feel confident to take risks where Burrow probably won't. He will be more meticulous with the ball.

Our running game will surprise Miami as well. They just mentioned why that will be a success for LSU and its bc of their DL being decimated. LSU doesn't need to throw the ball deep to have success but Burrow will take advantage of one on one coverage and out the ball where only his WR can catch it.

He's a different type of QB that we've had here at LSU. He throws the WRs open and doesn't wait for the WR to get open before throwing it. Miami will be hard pressed to beat this LSU defense. Retooling the OL doesn't bold well for Miami. Having to replace his go to targets doesn't bold well either.

This DL will be the biggest and baddest DL Miami will see all year to go along with depth to rotate those big boys. The LB group is going to be bad to the bone this year. I see a 28-13 type of game. With us being tied at half. GT
