Did I ever say it's hard?
Your posts sure are implying it when you keep acting like people here don't know what it's like.

You're like 40 man,
I graduated from LSU in Fall of '11 and brought booze into every game I attended in my time at LSU.

It's not as easy as putting a flask in your pants and walking in.
Yea, but it is as easy as putting a plastic flask in the small of your back or a double ziplock full of booze in your crotch area and not looking like a slobbering drunk when you walk through the gate.
quote:Dude, stop it. Students have been getting shitfaced before games for decades. It's not anew development.
But all you internet folks just don't understand the level of drinking these people are doing.

Because we’ve never started drinking at 6AM for a 7PM game, gone in and lost our voice and been hungover by halftime, and then had to leave because we didn’t have more alcohol. What a pussy excuse. This is why millennials are labeled snowflakes. I hate being grouped with you pussies.

I am just reporting why I think the problem exists. You people assume so much it's quite entertaining. I stayed until the end of every game I went to as a student.

You're out of touch, my man.

Out of touch how? I've been in the student section as recently as last year. What am I missing?

Do you not know what happens after you slam alcohol all day and then go sit in a place for hours that refuses to sell alcohol?
Your point is well taken, but Tiger Stadium is forbidden from selling alcohol, they would if they could.

Last time I checked, no matter what your age was you couldn't have alcohol in Tiger Stadium. It is as easy as putting a flask in your pants right next to your weiner and/or gonads.
I'm pretty sure everyone that's out there understands the level of drinking going on, but may not understand the amount of drugs these kids are probably doing for 16 hours straight on gamedays so they can "keep drinking."

mbined with cheaper tickets and an overal cheaper game day experience. People were more likely to go.
However students in the Old Days (late 60's) had to enter the lottery to get game tickets. I remember my brother saying he thought he never see a game and then his name came up and he got to see the Notre Dame game.

From what I usually see, the South is by far the best section in regards to filling the stands and stays full much longer than the other sections.
The south to me is a blue collar die hard section. East and West lowers are rich assholes and the north is sectioned off for students organizations that dont even show like the med school students. Those nerds are in NOLA

I just don't think you're seeing the condition most of these bros are when they go into the stadium. Before I moved away, I was tailgating with same group of friends we formed in college. We always stayed to the end and sang and all that. However, the amount of people staggering around like zombies gets bigger and bigger every year.
I'm not saying this is right or this is what I do, or even that this IS THE ONLY reason. This is just what I observed to be the cause for the majority of people to leave.

I'd beg to differ, but whatever. Drinking didn't become some giant thing at the exact time you were at LSU and the time after.

I'm not saying it did... but the screening to get in most certainly did.

I'm just speaking towards the student section, because that seems to be the nerve that get's everyone upset. If grandma and grandpa want to leave early to get home to watch the news then that's their prerogative. The students should be staying, though. I have laid out why I believe the students leave. It makes more sense to me than just saying, "Oh, they don't care".
Posted on 9/25/18 at 8:56 am to StickyFingaz
What actually makes more sense is they're going home to get ready to go out so they can partake in the drink specials that end at 10.
Back before the 10pm curfew for specials, you didn't have kids leaving early as much.

Who is doing free drinks after football games?

If you don't understand that these kids have been drinking since 8 in the morning, then I don't know what to tell you
