I know there have been so many topics about an empty stadium since the LATECH game on Saturday.

I was the proud owner of season tickets for 16 years. I looked forward to going to the games all week no matter the opponent. I didn't renew my tickets this season for ONE reason...who wants to sit in a half empty stadium?

It all starts with the student section. You can't have a great crowd without a great student section. The students started leaving earlier every year, and now they start bailing at half time no matter what.

It sure was fun while it lasted...2000-2017...great times.

Where are the students going anyway?

Why do all of the great parties start at 7:30?

Do you not know what happens after you slam alcohol all day and then go sit in a place for hours that refuses to sell alcohol?

You have to go back a heck of a lot further than this recent era.

LSU fans of the 50's, 60's, and 70's were second to none. The LSU and Death Valley reputation for intimidation was established by these fans.

Today's fans and I am one, are a pale comparison to those who came before us.

Do you think that people weren't slamming alcohol all day before 2012?

Do you think no one ever got drunk before 2012?

That's it people drink all day now...that is a new trend.

We also used to have a significantly smaller stadium in the good ole days

Meaning 80,000 people looked a lot more full, less traffic,

Combined with cheaper tickets and an overal cheaper game day experience. People were more likely to go.

I'm sure that every decade the stadium's intensity has decreased, but Tiger Stadium fell off of a cliff starting in 2012.

We ain't ever getting it back either.

You can fool yourself, but winning won't help.

From what I usually see, the South is by far the best section in regards to filling the stands and stays full much longer than the other sections.

I think people get offended but it's true but I do not know it's one cause ...

Tiger stadium has become a shell of it former self
