I don't know...I seem to remember we made Tebow cry one season. So...the same treatment that accomplished that would be fine by me.

Johnny Manziel went to school here in Kerrville with my daughter. I witnessed him all four years in high school. He does not know any other way, for sure.
I hope he has a great career at A&M. I am rooting for LSU to win the game, I just hope that our Tigers don't hurt him. He will do many wonderful things for A&M football and for the SEC

He's definitely a lot quicker.
It will have to be a team effort to contain him.
The guy has serious skills.
Mingo ran down LaMichael James dude.

Didn't break it down to individual numbers being JF is 85% of their offense. But here ya go

Team they played, that teams defensive rank and Yards Allowed Per Game and Tamu's Yards

Vs. La Tech (Defense rank 119 -555 YAPG) - 678 yards
Vs UF ( Defense rank 13 -297 YAPG) - 334 yards
Vs SMU ( Defense rank 73- 408 YAPG) - 605 yards
Vs Ark (Defense rank 92- 434 YAPG) - 716 yards
Vs Ole Miss ( Defense rank 41- 356 YAPG) - 481 yards

LSU is #2 Allowing 219ypg.

So you could estimate about 250 yards of total offense. And that is assuming no improvement in sacks or turnovers for the defense.

I would hope for not much over 300. And that is including about 75 yards at the end of the game with 3rd stringers on the field

Manziel is actually more like if Tebow and Honey Badger had a love child. He's a 4.4 runner with a better arm than Tebow but he's not as big. Mainly though he just has the "playmaker" gene that is so hard to quantify. I mean what QB makes this play?

He scares the hell outta me and definitely opens himself up to some big shots. Unfortunately, I don't think the kid knows how to play the game any other way; but he'll have a short career if he doesn't figure it out.

maybe, but he seems to dodge direct hits very adroitly. like he goes down at the last second before the big blow. of course, he may not see every shot coming but from i'm seen the kid may make it the whole year. i hope so. i want to beat y'all at full strength even tho we are missing lots of guys.

Mingo has a faster forty time of 4.5, JF runs a 4.6 almost a 4.7.

No one seems to know how fast JFF really is...it's almost as if Kevin Sumlin sees some competitive advantage to keep that info quiet (sorry for the sarcasm). I don't claim to be a know-it-all, but I've heard he's been clocked in the mid 4.4's. the thing that amazes me though, is how "football" fast he is. He pulls away from guys that are "known" to have better 40 times. Maybe that's because of his acceleration. He hits top speed as fast as anyone I've ever seen.

The best way to neutralize him is to make him throw from the pocket. He's one of those weird QBs that throws a better ball from the run. He'll extend plays with his feet and the cover guys have to keep up for far longer than most can actually cover. I can't imagine having to scheme for him, but if anyone can do it it's Chavis.
