We may be expecting too much from Brennan the first year, but I believe he will end up doing great things for LSU.
I think our expectations will be right where they need to be. He is that talented. He will have his ups and downs and we have to be patient. Between him and Narcisse our QB situation should be very good for the next few years.

To be fair they have five 10+ win seasons since 2010 and 11 10+ win seasons since 2000 so they have been a good team, not a great team. The same holds true for LSU. Both teams will have 4 Top 5 finishes since 2000. We do have 2 natty's though.
They also play in a very weak division.

They can only play one at a time

Their rb recruiting is just as ridiculous, like 2 top 4 rbs in this class I believe

The lowest star rated QB LSU in recent years was three star Lindsey Scott. The rest have been 4 stars which were stud high school players. They just haven't developed well at LSU which is the frustrating thing.
McMillan was rated a lower rated 3 star .8266.

JM He would have been higher if had not committed so fast

Kirby Smart was the money man at Bama....now watch GA go!

Lmao at 1988. Sad thing is you aren't trolling. You are that fkn stupid.
Where are we? How well did ours develop?
I answered the question as plain as can be. Smart turned it around and WON with a freshman. We lost to Troy on 2 picks and a fumble in the second half alone at Tiger Stadium. That was after a 30 pt beat down and a prelude to a red zone knee when they were up by 2 TDs.
They turned it around

Show we can develop and effectively utilize the QB spot and passing game and we will see QBs more interested in committing here.
You aint finding any of those in Luziana. Gotta go national to find those OL's. Grimes couldn't and wouldn't do it.
Recruit great pass blocking OL's and start throwing the ball more. The really great QB's and WR's will want to come here then................

I can not believe how stupid one of the posters are to suggest getting Art Briles. He helped cover up rape. Typical sports bar hero thinking. Go get another beer and an order of wings

Understatement of the year. NO other team has been as unlucky as we have with QBs.
LSU had 3 QBs start in the NFL since 07.
Not many programs can claim that. But yeah, you guys are right. LSU is the only program that hasn't had a QB.
You guys have some serious selective memory.
Oh and since 05 only two QBs from Louisiana have been drafted. Stefan Lefors, Dak Prescott. Neither went to LSU.

Hate to say it dg, but I don't disagree with the Bama troll. We have been very unlucky at the position.
Of the three since 07, only Mett played here in the last decade, and that was only two years for LSU.
When you look at the rest of our QBs it has been a list of disappointments.
Obviously we are mostly talking about Lee, JJ, Jennings, and Harris.
All four were well respected 4 star guys with impressive offer lists from other SEC and P5 schools with good coaching staffs. While I'm not one to bash any of those guys like so many of our "fans", they all proved to be pretty limited in the things they could do and had pretty glaring weaknesses that severely hurt our offensive approach. Certainly not the players we hoped they would be when they signed on, for lots of different reasons, although they certainly all helped us win plenty of games. But there were also plenty of losses where better QB play definitely could have been the difference.
There were also guys that didn't make it to campus or stick around for whatever reason, Lee, Keil, Rivers, Scott and of course the guy that started the curse, Perrilloux.
I'd definitely say that qualifies as a run of bad luck at the most important position on the field.
If it wasn't for hitting on a solid starter in Etling, who still had his share of limitations, although not as many as the guys before him imo, the past two years could have gone much differently. Hopefully he is the first in the next line QBs that will mark the end of that streak followed by Brennan and Narcisse.
And even if we never have another NFL QB I wouldn't care as long as we get kids that can excel in college and function to attack the whole field within our offense. That's the key. Plenty of schools see successful QBs one after another without being guys that will ever play pro ball. And that isn't even limited to spread attacks.

Georgia hasn't won a Natty in over 35 years, and this is their first good season in almost 15 years
They've won two SEC titles and played in the SECCG 4 more times and won the Sugar Bowl in 07 without even winning the East in the past 15 years???
Care to let us know when we can expect our "first good season" under O??
ETA: 40 upvotes??? How many alters do you have?
