Looks like Arizona St won several games by scoring a lot last year despite Daniel’s poor play at the quarterback position.

Or they ran a run heavy offense, a part of which was Daniels’ 700 yards rushing. The offense wasn’t focused on putting up big passing yardage, which also explains the relatively low passing TD total. You keep saying he “regressed”, yet his 65% completion % was the best of his career. Yes, the INTs were high with a make shift OL, a receiver corps in disarray, and a coaching staff in turmoil. He didn’t just all of the sudden go from being a QB who protected the ball extremely well to one with somewhat elevated INTs in a vacuum. You have to want to see him fail to fixate on one stat in one year and ignore everything else.

That was last year.

Covid year is a successful year?? Dear god. He was 2-2 that year as a starter. His best game was 225 yards passing on 35 attempts with 1 TD and 1 Int that game. Sounds pretty mediocre.

Yet you still failed to list any of the receivers around him. Also, what is the pre draft outlook on the receivers he had a year ago ASU? Any potential 1st, 2nd or even 3rd rounders on that roster?

Please tell me what's so funny about the Tigers possibly having the best defensive line in the country for 2022?

You don't know shite about the team you claim to follow. You need to STFU & stop pretending like you even have a clue about anything concerning the team.

What’s your motivation with all of this negativity towards Daniels? Have you listened to BK talk about him? Kelly praises his quick decision making and management of the offense. Also he said today that it’s most likely both Nuss and Daniels will play this season.

This is how far LSU has fallen.

Would Alabama ever consider bringing in a senior QB who was 8-5 with 10 TD and 10 Int his junior year and naming him the starter??

Furthermore, I find it discerning that A&M will make Max their third string QB when Max put up numbers last season at LSU that Daniels can only dream of putting up this season.

There are so many factors involved in those stats. Your view in incredibly simplistic. If Daniels is as bad as you say then we are in big trouble because he is moving the ball against our defense and in a close competition with Nuss.

Well you see somebody posted a thread…

Gentlemen, I believe we found our QB

If Daniels is the starter this will be the weakest spot for LSU on offense. Keeping it real. I hope the rest of the team can pick it up. We don’t need to be celebrating our weak spots or be delusional about it b/c what happened 3 years ago.

The number #1 receiver for ASU (has since transferred to Florida) was a former 3* who is projected to be a 6th/7th round pick or UDFA.

LSU was crazy in 2019 to rely on a Sr QB who completed only 57.8% of his passes in 2018 and who was a benchwarmer his prior 3 seasons.

As to Max Johnson being a 3rd stringer at A&M after putting up respectable numbers at LSU, does that not at all suggest to you that the talent in the LSU offense might make a QB perform better than in another setting?

Kelly says it’s a great competition between the two, so there is no great difference between Nuss and Daniels right now. So why would one of them starting be so much worse in your eyes than the other? By all accounts they both have looked good this fall.

You act like LSU is bringing back Chase, Jefferson, and Marshall at the wide receiver position. Boutte is good but it is easy for SEC defenses to focus in on one receiver and take him away. Plus, it is looking like LSU won’t have a consistent passer to get Boutte the ball.

So you are comparing Daniels to Joe Burrow.

No but there is a lot talent there with Boutte, Nabors, Bech, Thomas, Lacy & Hilton.

No, he is saying a QB can improve in a better offensive system with better talent around him, you idiot.

Pump the brakes. Could just as easily be Jordan Jefferson 2.0.

Well if we are going to bring up Jordan Jefferson who as an average at best QB, it is only fair to bring up Jarrett Lee as well who played over the same 4 year period 2008-2011.

Let's take J. Lee's stats vs. the standard in the SEC for defense over the last 15 years, Nick Saban's Alabama teams

J. Lee was 24-58 for 313 yards 1 TD and 7 INTS in his 4 appearances vs. Bama

Daniels faced one Pac 12 defense ranked in the top 50 in total defense last season and that was Washington (number 23) and Daniels was shut out that game with 90 yards passing. Pac 12 had some terrible defenses last year.

Arizona State had the number 1 defense in the Pac 12 last season (number 13)

Arizona State had the number 35 ranked rushing offense last year which is decent because they had a decent offensive line.

As comparison LSU had the 114 ranked rushing offensive last year. Max Johnson was under constant pressure the entire season b/c defenses knew LSU could not run the ball.
