Burning the PMAC down might actually be the way to get a new arena

I commend him for not being a “Coward” for change as a stand up man.

I don't mind that coaches are standing up and speaking out against certain things. They sort of have to, being that nearly their entire teams are made up of blacks. They need these kids to want to play for them. However, I wish they would also make it clear in these statements that destroying stuff and stealing other people's shite is also not the way to go. By saying, "now is the time to take action" could be taken so many different ways, without saying what action you are speaking of.

These statements all the coaches are releasing are so cringeworthy and pandering.
I understand that they have to do it, but it's pathetic.

In the end people are too emotional right now to even bring stuff like that up in my experience as of late, so when you're in positions like Wade is, you be as PC as you possibly can be. It's pretty much the only way to approach it from someone in his shoes. Whether you want to argue the violent backlash is justifiable or not as a coach in the NCAA you dont issue a statement on something like that which is making folks very divided in that community at the moment.

When rioters start burning down athletic facilities, and stealing the training equipment I will pay attention to the coaches and athletes message.
Sincerity is when you have skin in the game, not when someone else's business/paycheck is affected,

Not a time for words, it's a time for actions
doesn't know what action but is saying it's a time for action
gonna listen to members of our team (yet doesn't think it's a time for words.
Are those members going to communicate with something other than words?
If any of you read Wade's words and don't think it's a completely retarded statement, you're dumb. At best he's manipulating potential recruits, which is simultaneously effective work as a coach and demented considering the context of these lawless times.

If Wade thinks there are too many white coaches, he should resign immediately to show his compassion.

Damn... Wade just caved. He’s on board with the “ too many white coaches/not enough minority coaches “, white privilege blah blah blah.
College coaches are being coerced into these virtue signalling statements and they react like the sheeple they are. If one coach panders the next one also does to keep pace.
This is the reason LSU and other athletic programs are compelled to blindly jump on board . No athletic program in the country has been as affected by violence like LSU has in the past 18 months. A bright young talented basketball player lost his life in a senseless shooting. A couple months later a future NFL first round draft choice could have suffered the same fate while selling a Xbox in north Baton Rouge. Fortunately a teammate was also armed and shot and killed the assailant.
Neither of those incidents involved a single white person, let alone a policeman. These incidents play out thousands of times a day throughout the country, most often in the fertile recruiting grounds of college athletics. Its hypocritical to speak out only because a police officer allegedly killed a lack man but not speak out against the rampant daily violence in the country.
The same police officers are killed by perpetrators while in the line of duty at a far greater rate than blacks unjustifiably killed by police. Often those police officers are killed in the same neighborhoods which those virtue signalling coaches heavily recruit in. The level of daily and weekly violence in those areas which does not involve a single white person is over 99% higher than the very rare times that an officer kills a black man for unjustified reasons.
The simple truth is any person of any color is far more likely to be victimized in those areas. Who would be more likely to be victimized, white people walking through the neighborhood of north Baton Rouge or black people walking though White Oak or Country Club of Louisiana or most neighborhoods in south Baton Rouge?
There are wrong decisions made by police, sometimes driven by racism , other times by just being bullies with a badge. They are not justified and should be prosecuted to the extent of the law. Using the death of George Floyd to generalize institutional racism and force coaches into becoming leftist lap dogs is repugnant. Had this matter remained local and not led to the rioting and violence around the country there would not be this virtue signaling capitulation by athletic departments and other businesses.
