wonder if GP would have handled his qb situation differently if the kid was a scrub?

This what I'm getting at. Why did he find it necessary to say. Why not just come out and say "I thought that Hill had served his punishment this summer."

If he'd had a better option available, Pachall wouldn't've been back. Fact.

Go ahead and keep poking though, Patterson....

Sounds to me like GP is a scared little biatch. I'm pretty sure Hill wouldn't be playing this game all along, but I hope he gets in and scores 3tds and 200 yards

To be honest, Patterson has had so many more arrests he needs to be good at getting rid of criminals. Burglaries, drug rings, real criminal shite.....his way appears to be working

I really don't know. He was gonna be criticized no matter what, maybe it was just his way of publically backing his guys...or whatever.

To give the kids a sense of ownership for their program?

Don't see why GP felt the need to comment on it at all. LSU doesn't even need Hill to beat TCU.

I think maybe he did it to try to instill a sense of responsibility and gratitude to his teammates from Hill. I don't know, but I really think he sees almost no time in the first few games, basically an non suspended suspension. I think Miles was too soft, but I basically agree with Miles on most issues, so I will give him the benefit on this one.

This is pretty baffling. But does shed some light on a program of trust and respect, versus a program where a coach shows no confidence in the judgement of his players or team.

It's shite like this as to why I hope with all my heart Hill doesn't get suspended at all.

:kige:

Patterson is obviously trying to put pressure on Miles to sit Hill. Now if Les does sit Hill, it will look like he bowed to that pressure. So he should do just the opposite and give zero fricks what Patterson says.

Also, I agree with whoever said that Patterson should keep his nose out of Les's business. No coach should publicly tell another coach how to coach. He doesn't know what Les knows, he knows virtually nothing about the situation so he should keep his fricking mouth shut.

Earlier this month, an undercover Fort Worth police officer sat in the front seat of a Chevy Impala in the parking lot of a Hooters restaurant having just finished off a $300 drug deal with TCU safety Devin Johnson, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

The officer, according to the affidavit filed in connection with Johnson’s arrest, asked Johnson about a recent drug test given to the TCU football team.

According to the affidavit, Johnson responded, “What can they do? Eighty-two people failed it.”

Sorry, this may seem a bit long-winded but I wanted to share my thoughts on the matter. I just think it's funny that Miles is getting all the heat he's getting. What about all the players getting arrested at Florida with Urban Meyer and how he handled those situations or the bar fight with Johnny Football and all of the other stupid things he's been involved in? Meyer was seen as the best thing ever and could do no wrong and JFF's actions were seen as those done by a 20 year old college kid. If I'm not mistaken, he didn't miss any games. They let him do what he wants, but why would you? He won the Heisman Trophy and beat Alabama and made your school look good.

I don't know what happened, but I do think that CLM wanted to involve his players by letting them listen to Hill and what he had to say about what happened in depth and to allow the players to truly understand the situation if they didn't already know. I'm pretty sure CLM already had an idea what he wanted to do after he learned about Hill's fate but he wanted to know where the players stood. Yes, you would think that the players would want Hill back but you really don't know how they may feel. CLM wanted Hill to hear how the players felt. At the end of the day, he already knew what he wanted to do. The media is upset because they want an explanation of what he plans to do with Hill and how they feel he took the word of his team on what to do. He took their opinions into account, and they weighed heavily on what he decided to do next which tells me he was planning on allowing him back if the situation played well for Hill to return. Now with people like Gary Patterson, who really has no room to talk, commenting on the issue, if CLM were to state his punishment now, it would appear that he's doing it because of what others say.

CLM moves to the beat of his own drummer. He could care less what anyone says about him or how he handles his business. JJ was suspended for half the season for his situation. Both TM and RP were kicked off the team after given more than their share of chances to get themselves together. From day one CLM has been on top of this and I'm sure Hill's punishment is far from over. I'm sure (at least I hope) that Hill knows that he not only must earn his way back in, but also gain CLM's trust in him again and stay on the straight and narrow because the next time he even steps out of line (even a little), he's gone.
