It makes LSU fans look like a bunch whiny pussies when people complain to CBS about this shite. Danielson is good at what he does. He isn't supposed to call the game like Hawthorne. Just because he doesn't stroke our ego as much as some would like does not mean that he hates us.

Bottom line with Danielson
He thinks Alabama is the top program in the country because of Saban and he does not have the same respect for Miles...we have better players but he thinks Alabama is the creme of the crop and that you have to knock them off to earn it...
I agree that Richardson is better than any back we have but for hell's sake, the other 21 are not nearly as good collectively....
I think we can beat Bama rather handily if the ref's let us play....and we do not turn to the ball over....
You can book that Muschamp and Dooley will be talking like crazy to little Nick about our team and tendencies...

He is right. Even though a man is in a professional position as an announcer or color guy, he still has individual preference. It's impossible to win with all fan bases in the SEC. We have all heard Danielson, ESPN, (fill in blank) Hates LSU, but it's just our bias, not necessarily his.

Well, the question was directly about him.
There was nothing wrong with what he said. If you want to dream up a reason to hate on the guy, fine, but he's a solid commentator, and I've never had anything against him that I can remember.

He's pretty damn good. He very good at picking up tendencies and points out big plays way ahead of time. I'd say 90% of the time he's right. Vern is to round mound of jolly noise

The rant is hard on EVERYBODY! Face it. Honestly, without Danielson, the CBS broadcast would be unwatchable. Can you imagine Lundquist without intelligent commentary to offset him?! GD usually has prepared with a lot of game knowledge and player info. He knows a lot, and he does appear to be unbiased. When you see good players/teams week in and week out, it is hard not to mention them on air.

He never means any negative toward an LSU player if he says an Alabama player is in a different league. He says he makes mistakes, because he is human, and he doesn't always say things like he means them, or things don't always come out right, but that is a hazard of the job. He thinks it's great that SEC fans get on his case about their team because if they were blase' about it, it'd be Pac10 football.

Danielson actually took up for LSU this week. He showed the stats vs Florida and up to this point in the season for both LSU and Bama. The point was that we are pretty much dead even. He said, "but....LSU has faced much more impressive offenses in West Virginia and Oregon, as opposed to instate directional type schools."
I generally like Danielson because he's honest, and sometimes he's brutally honest about LSU. It can be fun to hear him be honest about LSU when we're doing good, but man when we're doing bad it really sucks to hear.

I like Danielson better than 90% of the people who call college football games. There are much worse out there.
