and see that is supposed to be his strength. That is why he is called the wizard. shite, in '07 they were doing pieces on him on TV for all of the games LSU was playing. Our offense was pretty damn exciting in '07, but there were some of the typical plays that making just say WTF?

But to answer your post, yeah, Crowton is just a frickin' mess. He doesn't have a history of developing QBs. Hell, he's not even listed as a "QB's coach" on our site.

I think he has some really brilliant and aggressive ideas and maybe Miles is limiting him, but I think he tries to go too large with his scheme instead of tightening things up.

THe one thing he does great though is that he understands how to set plays up. Give a defense the same look three times and then bam, hit them hard with a slightly varied one. And when it happens, it's a thing of beauty.

Under Crowton, LSU tries to do way too much. Instead of focusing on doing a handful of things exceptionally well, they seem to want to do a bucketfull of stuff pretty well.

it's not working.

especially on 3rd down or even on 4th down if they have to go for it. Instead of just take 6-10 plays that they know the offense is comfortable with, especially the qb and running those when they HAVE to get 5 yards or so, they are using some crazy formations and routes and blocking schemes and it usually blows up on us. Besides Bama and Fla I dont think there is anyone else on the schedule that should have given us too much trouble gettin 3 yards on 3rd down if we ran it. But, we don't establish it early and wear down the defensive line.
