Problem #1 with this team is Gary Crowton. I say he gets fired after this year. Who's going to replace him? Here's a list of some good candidates.
1. Dana Holgorson.
2. Major Applewhite. (Probably not gonna happen, BUT he is from Baton Rouge)
3. Gus Malzahn (First year with Aub., probably not gonna happen)
4. Paul Chryst
5. Brian Kelly (probably not gonna happen)
6. Mark Helfrich

Mike Shula could do the job and make BAMA fans see red at the same time.

This idea sucked the first time you posted it.

I love these types of posts...this guy is a Texas or Florida/Bama upset away from playing for the National Title this year, and you think there's even a small chance he'll be our offensive coordinator next year?? Just take him off the list.

I don't know what's scarier, the fact that Kelly is on the list or that he's all the way down at 5...

Why the hell would Brian Kelly leave a head job in the Big East especially with Cinncy to be the HC at another school.. stupid

No I'm not stupid... Those are the best candidates. I didn't say they were probable candidates.

Brian Kelly is as much of a candidate to be our OC as I am. Put the crack pipe down.

Major Applewhite. What we need is a quarterback coach. He fills that position at Texas and is a rising star. And, from Baton Rouge. Bring him home.

Dana Holgerson was my offensive coordinator at mississippi college. Trust me, we dont want him

Well if its a list of best possible candidates, where the hell are names like Urban Meyer, Chip Kelly, Sean Payton, etc?

His dad named him after Major Ogilvie, and though a BR native and a Catholic-BR grad, he is all Horn and Austinite. His family are hardcore Bamafans..even though Saban threw their boy under the bus with 2007's late season swoon.
Jumped off sinking ship at Syracuse under former Horn Asst Robinson, and rejected Houston interest when replacing Briles.
Applewhite is gonna stay at Texas until getting a HC gig one day when he feels he's ready for it, and a job with real potential calls. Alma mater, soft easy gig in great city, easy going Mack Brown for a boss, etc..gravy gig at automatic 10 or 11 win platform.
Not to mention that Miles is now in his second year of early hot-seat era..LSU best look elsewhere.
