More experience. If he and Walker are starting on an even plane the edge will probably go to Walker. If Garrett can play against SEC competition this season it will probably be harder for Walker to catch up - in my opinion.

May not be for long. I saw where an "expert" said that he was showing out in practice and that they would be surprised if he didn't become the #1 QB during the season. He is not ready now but the physical attributes and arm are off the charts. Also said he is picking up the playbook quickly - SO FAR.
He's even lighter than when "Tubby" first arrived on campus.
What's that noise I hear? It's the Interdimensional Transfer Portal opening up and it's calling "TJ....TJ....TJ....TJ" (Sorry TJF jock sniffers, it's just a fact of life that's about to happen if he ever wants to play a down of college football)

Problem with him redshirting is that this 5-star QB is showing up next season AND he is bringing his friends with him.
Will this actually be the LSU QB room in 2022?
LSU will most likely RS Nussmeier in 2021, unless there is a recurring injury problem with Tubs.
It would be wise to keep him off the field until after Campbell, Bordelon and Taylor (I'm concerned about him being a flip to Bama or Auburn) for protection.....
