edit: especially as the game goes on. Swinging at the 1st pitch in the 1st or 2nd? whatever. But once the 4th/5th comes around, you need to be patient.

I have no problem swinging at the 1st pitch, unless the pitcher is throwing a lot of balls.
If he's throwing balls, let him throw them.
