He looks like a crafty junk baller type. His fastball is leagues away from Gausman and probably even Nola too. For some reason it seems like we struggle with these guys more than bigger arms. He looks labored now though. The hits will come.

We should think about abandoning the tactic of bunting or sacrificing with a man on first with no Outs. Our hitters are not consistent enough to justify the notion that we are going to score with a man on Second Base and 1 Out.

The ump had a big zone in the first inning, but I think he realized how much movement this guy has and he is being more patient in his ball/strike call. I can see how this guy threw a lot last weekend, he lives off of movement, not velocity. Sometimes sinkerball pitchers are better with a tired arm, they get more movement.
