That might not matter for a natty seed.
Committee will make the regular season SEC champ a natty seed regardless of RPI. MARK IT DOWN.

Nothing matters to the committee

I don't think SEC champ has ever not gotten one.

USCe is guaranteed a natty seed. I could see the sec only getting 1.

Idk. ACC has 2 locked. Oregon state. SEC winner. That leaves 4 pretty open IMO.

ULL is locked and Texas is pretty close.

No chance in hell that happens.

2011
The SEC is not very good this year. LSU has won 5 straight SEC games playing average baseball at best.

SEC wasn't the highest rated RPI conference that season. They are this year and it's by a pretty wide margin.
ETA: Even then, the SEC got 2 natty seeds that season.

I just haven't seen any other teams separate themselves from the jumble at the top of the SEC. Houston? Cal Poly?
ULL is probably a lock I agree.

Not necessarily, but it could be.

Because there is a shite ton of parity in not just the SEC but in all of baseball and the SEC, though down, is still posting the highest winning%

I dont think being the #1 rpi conference in college baseball holds much weight tbh.
Posted on 4/12/14 at 8:25 pm to Broski
shite I'm just worried about making sure we host a regional at this point.

LSU is going to win the SEC fwiw.

I disagree, their RPI potential likely tops out at 5 or 6. They probably can't lose more than 3 games the rest of the way. If their RPI isn't in the top 8, I don't think the committee gives them a national seed.
That said, they may not lose more than 3 games in such a shitty conference.
