They do not...Russian will continue to argue and call you stupid, though. Sooner or later he may realize that what is said in those coqches meetings is all crap.

That meeting is for blow hards like Russian to run and spread the gospel of cpm.

Impossible... Players don't "quit" or decide to leave for more playing time. That's absurd.

The timing happened because the last SEC home series was finished, and the traveling list for Auburn, Hoover, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Omaha had to be set.

Correct, after spending a week or so in summer ball and then came back to BR to tell Mainieri that he was quitting baseball.

He remained at LSU to finish his degree.

You sure? Wasn't there a last week change last year for Hoover?

So you think cpm cuts players before the season is over?
I don't think it. I know it.

Like Broski said, he does not tell them GTFO.

He tells them they don't have a roster spot the next season which means no scholly money. If they want to come back and walk on, they can.

But he lets them know he believes it's in their best interest to transfer and he offers to assist them land at a JC or somewhere else if they want him to do so.

I can't believe posters on this board who fancy themselves knowledgeable about LSU baseball don't know this happens almost every season. It's an end of year routine.

Just ask Arby Fields and he started half the games the season he played for LSU.

There is, but it had nothing to do with Mainieri telling Watkins he wouldn't have a spot on the team.

The travel roster can change, but for Dean and Dehart, they weren't waiting around hoping for an invite to pinch run in the 12th inning of some game. They were ready to move on.

Glenn, that's a different story.
