The most recent one is Eyanson and his splitter. The other one that sticks out to me was the ace on the Omaha Arizona team that pitches for the Angels now. But the amount of digging I'd need to do to find such an old report is more than I have time for right now.

yeah I didn’t even know he threw a splitter. Did he at San Diego?
I have yet to see an LSU pitcher really add a pitch under Yeskie but there is so little carry over year to year and lost guys are still working on the 1-2

Thanks les just a Lil confused by the thread title. Just scooped him in my 12T keeper league. Love the k upside and the offensive environment in Sacramento can't be any worse than the PCL

Would've been interesting to see what happens in 2024 if Brown catches that fly ball in the outfield. With Holman and Jump as our Friday/Saturday pitchers and the way the team was coming around, I think they could've made it to Omaha and possibly won a couple games there. I don't think they would've won it, but they could've made a little noise
Particularly considering 3 seed West Virginia came out of the top of that bracket, which meant we would have gotten a WVU @ LSU Super Regional a year early

The velo jump that he an Eyanson made since going pro tells you that as they try to keep culling the minor leagues, it's not about outsourcing development. They're still the best developers of baseball players.
Maybe. It's also possible it's a natural result of player's bodies continuing to mature. I think you're likely right as you remove "student" from the list of responsibilities an athlete has which allows them to focus even more time on improvement, just saying we can't say with certainty that the improvement is solely due to being in the minors.
