Big 10 is playing there because they know that's the only chance any of their teams will have

What I find hilarious and crazy is that before Indiana went a couple of years ago, LSU had never gone the last time a B1G team made it to Omaha. Just think about that, 16 appearances and 6 national titles from one team in between an entire (major) conference's appearances

Atlanta and Jacksonville probably have Minor league teams as well.

Atlanta would have ONE certain MAJOR LEAGUE team...

Zephyr Park in New Orleans

Should not be considered until they improve the facilities. They couldn't handle the LSU-UL game. The parking was a nightmare (and that was w/ approx. 5 RVs) and the concessions were worse.

Don't worry zephyr field never will be in serious consideration. It's to close to LSU. The LSU crowd would overwhelm the place.

Rotating between Memphis and Hoover probably the best compromise for everyone. Most centrally located sites.

Discussion on al.com yesterday. Either the league is pushing Hoover for more upgrades or someone came to them with a bag if cash. Worth seeing what someone else has to offer, I guess.
AL.com
Why is the Met being like TD Ameritrade a good thing? I think that park has ruined the CWS.

Besides being in Alabama, are there any other issues with the stadium in Hoover? Is it showing it's age? Hard to get to? Parking? Concessions?

The stadium is at the end if a cul-de-sac with one way in and out. If LSU had played Alabama traffic would have been a nightmare. When the Barons moved to Regions Field in downtown B'ham, the city became liable for full upkeep and the haven't been maintaining. And the stadium has no atmosphere and is not within walking distance of restaurants or hotels.
Personally, I hope it stays. But I would totally understand if it left. More short-sighted Alabama infrastructure investment!

Pensacola would be amazing, but it will never happen. All of the rooms are booked up a year in advance for the annual gay/lesbian Memorial Day weekend. There would be too much push back and the change would be tough to swallow.

AutoZone would really be a good fit, as long as the city makes accommodations for the RVs. That could be done with shuttles to Tiger Lane at the Fairgrounds, which would have the room.

I know a lot of people will instantly dismiss Memphis as a destination, but there are several new attractions, restaurants, and hotels that have popped up in the last 2-3 years. There is a more to do here than there used to be.

I can guarantee you it won't be in Metairie at Zephyrs Field. That place is a dump.
you always mention this, and I always have to come behind you to remind you that the new ownership group has committed to updating it as part of their proposal.

When will that sink in for you?

The only way most B1G teams get to play in Omaha is to have the conference tourney in Omaha
