re: Future LSU Head Coaches...

Having said that, I do like les miles, even though he rarely gets involved with the defense. If he stays for decades, I think he will always have DC's that are elite. I don't think he'll ever make the maleveto mistake again.
If he stays that long, I definitely think someone would emerge that fits the "played at lsu- coached at lsu" bill and would be the perfect heir-apparent.

Why are we having this discussion here and now?
I started it last night while watching the Nebraska game...and I'll state again, this is an "out in the future" discussion, not a next couple of years discussion. I figure I've got about 40 more years of being an LSU fan and assume there'll be a couple of coaching changes in that period of time.

so the only responses should be to the OP's list?
How bout this. The OP's list is just as stupid. Who the hell knows DOWN THE LINE if any of those dudes will still be coaching, or fricking alive for that matter. Try this again- who the frick cares about who should be on a coaching list 10 years from now?

Spike Dykes but only because he has the second best name in coaching ever right behind Dickie Nutt.

How many years? 'Cause Brian Kelly is already 48. A lot of people mistakenly consider him an up-and-comer, but don't realize that he was at Grand Valley State or wherever for 12 or 13 years.
I honestly think Les will be here at least another 5 years, so I'll say Dooley or Sarkisian

How far in the future? If far enough I'd like to put my 2 yo son on the list.

I'll probably be dead by them, so it's ok to put him on the list...

My guess is Miles stays at LSU for at least the next 10 years.

That's a great plan, Walter. That's frickin' ingenious, if I understand it correctly. It's a Swiss frickin' watch.

It won't be "Tubberville", Ed "Ogeron", Brian "Kelley" or "John" Gruden because they will all realize we're so academically challenged that we can't spell their names right.
