Brian Kelly
Kevin Sumlin

heard Kelly on the radio today, I was impressed. really even-keeled, realistic sounding guy. kind of a smooth talker.

They don't have to...Tubbs will be knocking on Alleva's door the minute this job comes open. He's so much as said it's his dream job.

I also have to ask why?
His career record isn't anything spectacular.
He won a Super Bowl with the the foundation laid by Tony Dungy. After that, Tampa didn't do much.

I was told today by my yardman that Steve Spurrier's wife was recently seen in Baton Rouge in a car with a well-known residential real estate agent.

do you have ant clue how difficult it is to recruit at Auburn. that cocky fricker consistently put quality teams on the field year in and year out and won with the best talent he could amass. He would destroy the SEC with the resources at LSU

good luck finding a coach that doesnt do that besides Saban, and that's only because his only friend is currently employed by the Pats

no way

he's another Pat Hill/Greg Schiano

great coach as long as he's overmatched and the underdog. Doesnt know how to drive his team when he's the favorite

maybe so, I don't think I'd want him at LSU straight from Stanford. I'd like to see him somewhere else that's more of a major player in college football. I still think he'll be a great coach in the future. I have been wrong before, I'll admit that.

i know rutgers isn't a big power house. but he's made a big turn around for that program. and think what he could do with a strong recruiting base like we have.

What about the odds of Tallahassee's $5 million dollar man in waiting?

And that superbowl victory was over the team that he had built in Oakland in the previous 2 years.

So, he definitely built a Superbowl contender in Oakland, then beat them w/ Tampa Bay.

Actually, he's not out of his mind, he's right. Tubbs has a 99% better chance of being the next LSU coach than anyone else mentioned in this thread. Fact.

Yep and then both teams soon fell apart.

I think there has been significant lobbying behind the scenes on this, under the guise that Les could leave for UM. After all, Tubbs is a Sexton guy and Sexton is highly connected at LSU.

to me that would be the equivalent of re-hiring John Brady next year...
