I distinctly remember a homerun in the mid nineties by a reserve player whose last name I believe was Pierce?? It was in a midweek game but it was the farthest I've ever seen. He was a lefty and it was rumored to have one hopped the athletic building. The front page of the sports was a picture of where the ball landed. I may be crazy though....does anyone remember this?

0.10 is alot different than 0.19 or even 0.149, especially when talking about baseball. Even still, this is a more feasible feat than I thought possible.

Oh I realize this. It measures in hundredths. Just thought I'd provide some sort of insight into how far (or shorter) it actually is...

When you're standing at home plate, the side of the building is just in fair territory.

I believe his name was Dwayne Pierce and he was from Florida. He didn't stay at LSU for more than a year or two. Hit it against USL in '93. That was the deepest ball I've seen hit at the Box.

The furthest I saw in person was Larson- landed across nicholson and then bounced halfway across the parking lot. Had there not been cars it would have rolled to TS

I distinctly remember watching Justin Bowles hit one clear over Nicholson into the stadium parking lot. That was the furthest ball I have ever seen hit. That dude could rip from the left side.

Closest was Mouton's shot to center at the CWS

Don't forget about Belle's bomb into the lights at Rosenblatt in 86.... and that was when the fences were further back than today.

Bill Brasky hit one that landed on the 50 yard line in Tiger S. Really though........I saw Bo Jacksons, Boones, Dixsons, Hawps and Wilkersons....Bo's was the futherest. I think it landed or even cleared the roof on the nearest married student house

Have talked to a few of the marshals during games at the box. They all say Mouton. Liuzza hit the longest one I actually witnessed. Took out the back window of a lincoln.

Seen it...the most impressive in my book.

Although it wasn't at the Box I saw Big Eddie Furniss hit one at SLU over right field that hit their Athletic Admin building on one bounce...if anyone knows where that is...it's around 500-525 ft or so.
