how about when we pelted Tennessee's bus with beer bottles as it was in route to Tiger Stadium? That was pretty funny.
or when we tumped over that Auburn car and lit it on fire. That rocked!

I was 10 at the time. LSU was playing Ole Miss and trailing 3 to 7 at the half. Minnesota had lost earlier in the day so Ole Miss was going to be ranked No 1 if they beat us. The Ole Miss cheer leaders were running around the field with a paper banner that read " Were' No. 1". A man in a suite ran onto the field in a rage and tore the banner to shreads with the cheerleaders looking on in shock. He was escorted off the field by security with the stadium roaring. LSU went on to win the game 10 to 7. The year was 1961.

quote:I was a student when this happened and was in the crowd. Not only do I still have a piece of that sign (bedsheet), I still have purple and gold grass in a ziploc from the field after we charged it for knocking off #1 Florida!
About 90 minutes before kickoff '97 Florida, a couple of gator fans had this HUGE sign made of a bedsheet. Can't remember exactly what it said, something about Spurrier's win streak, i think. Anyway those punks came over to the nearly full student section, about 30 feet away on the north endzone side. Being so early, few of those fans were there so mostly empty bleachers.
Anyway, these fools are waving the sign and yelling constantly. An LSU student then proceeded to run from behind them and run through it like he was Mr. KoolAid, and then threw it into the middle of the students. The flag was shreaded, the student evaded the cops, and the hours of work these guys spent to get on tv was ruined. Should've seen the look on those Gators faces.
Awesome memory!
The funniest part was when the Gator douche bags went to complain to the cops about what happened, an EBR SHerriff Deputy told the guy - "You taunted the LSU student section, what did you think was gonna happen?"

good memories, but throwing beer bottles at a bus is not funny its trashy.

quote:Man, I'm glad to hear so many folks remember that event. It was quite an adrenaline rush, but I can tell y'all the details if you are interested:
About 90 minutes before kickoff '97 Florida...
-- I spotted them coming over from around the East Side, 50 yard line or earlier, near the top (pre-east-side-UD)
-- I told my friend Nick (nicklsu on Tiger Rant) that "there's no way they are coming over to the LSU Student Section to taunt us... where do they think they are... Vanderbilt??"
-- But closer and closer they got, I was watching every step they made as they rounded the curve and got closer.
-- I mean, seriously, we may have lost nine in a row to Florida, including a couple humiliating games, BUT this was STILL the LSU STUDENT SECTION
-- PLEASE?!?!?!
-- We were around the middle of the Student Section, maybe 1/3 of the way between the goal post and the band; I grabbed Nick and said "back me up"
-- we got on the rounded walkway, 1/3 of the way up and I scooted through the Student Section I calmly passed them looking away from them so as to not let them know I knew they existed.
-- I got behind them and they didn't notice me, I was maybe 20 feet back
-- I trotted down to their benches... they were standing on benches with an empty bench between them
-- I hopped over a bench and landed on the empty bench and amazingly, they still didn't notice me - I assume the 10,000 angry students were more on their mind - plus I think Nick was distracting them also, in front but not too close to cause them to react.
-- so now, I approached from behind and I had a big smile because I knew it would be easy (since I was STILL undetected)
-- I snatched the sheet/sign from behind with every bit of strength I had, but it came out of their grasp so very easily (I thought they were clutching it tightly, but apparently not)
-- I started running, behind them and up... I got a huge lead as I bolted for the safety of the student section (gosh darn that element of surprise is mighty advantageous)
-- I became aware of my insurmountable lead on them and I assumed they'd not be charging the 10,000 students, so I turned around, taunted them and waved the sign at them
-- then I all but dove into the student section and tossed the sheet into the air and it was promptly shredded.
-- they next part ranks slightly behind my wedding day, graduation day, and a few other special moments in my life... some huge guy puts me on his shoulders and walks me down to the corner of the student section and you guys all gave me a friggin' wonderful ovation... damn that was cool, thanks!!
-- back in my seats, a really cute girl hugged me and handed me a piece of the sign
-- a few months later, that fragment was hung around my neck for my graduation from LSU Mechanical Engineering in May 1998

And people on here claim that LSU has some of the most gracious fans in the country....give me a break.

i love it when some stupid girl brings her boyfriend from another school into the student section.
against auburn a few years back, some stupid bitch brought her douche bay bf decked out in auburn gear right in the middle of the student section. people started throwing peanuts at him and he would turn around like he was going to do something. finally someone had enough and threw a huge coke on him. the cup hit him on the side of the head and exploded over both of them. they promptly left

And Spurrier's streak was stopped.
One of my greatest moments in Tiger Stadium.
I have this friend (the one that says LSU is going undefeated every year, even back in the 90's). He was on me all week about LSU beating Florida. I kept telling him no way, we were going to get crushed. When that happeded I turned to him and said its on we are going to win.
One of the best nights in LSU history. I remember we started looking at the clock in the third quarter counting down the seconds. We kept waiting for Spurrier to mount the comeback but the Tigers would not be denied.
What a game. Maybe it was b/c I was a student then but 97 FLA and 00 Tenn are my best games of all time in TS.

It said "Work'em Silly Gators" - I remember the guy snatching it from them and the chase that ensued before they realized they were never going to get it back.
here is a nearly identical sign at the 2004 LSU-UF game in the Swamp. And that's me!

2003 in the student section, i think it was the georgia game. some dude in the student section sitting at the bottom had a dry erase board ( i guess he always brings it) and he was writing shite on it and would turn around so everyone behind could read it.
One time he wrote "Britney likes it in the duke" and later he held it over the guy's head sitting next to him and not paying attention when it said "want good head? call this guy" with a phone number and an arrow pointing down. we thought it was pretty funny.

Dude - I remember you. I was in the student section sitting right there when you came running in.
And I don't think your lead was that much - they almost caught up with you.

I was in the student section for my first game at Tiger Stadium, and I couldn't believe all the things that were going on around me. Flasks being passed around, beautiful girls talking football, and a couple of fist fights.
Then I noticed all these dudes wearing jackets and ties sitting up front. My bro informed that they were a group of frat guys. This one fella in particular just reeked of douchebaggery. He had the shaved head with bleached bangs look going, and these little strips of hair I think he thought were sideburns.
Anyway, he kept looking back into the section, with this look of disdain, like he owned the stadium. He stood up on his seat and said 'If you assholes don't stop staring at my date, I'm going to beat your arse' to somebody five or six seats away from me. Then out of the blue, a full cup of Coke came flying down from what seemed the top of the section and hit the guy square in the nose.
I was laughing so hard, and it seemed my experience was complete, until his date (who, by the way, was not worth staring at) jumped up and started screaming at the unknown thrower. Needless to say, she took a full cup to the face as well. Goddamn I love LSU.

I don't have too many memories to share yet. Last year was my first year as a student. One of the funniest/coolest things last year was after both the Auburn and Florida games when people in the student section tossed their drinks into the air and it was literally raining Coke/beer/whatever.
Of course, "teabag Tebow" and Tebow crying were pretty good.
