126 to Bama if I'm not mistaken.

what about yall's offensive line?
you just answered that, how have they been though, are they just getting by on knowshon's skills.
It was horrible against Alabama/South Carolina. Better against UT/Vandy, but still pretty shaky at times, and I think the improvement was largely just due to UT/Vandy having weaker front 7's than Bama/SC.
The amazing thing is that we are leading the SEC with 430 yards/game. It is scary to think what our offense could do if Stafford/Moreno/Green had a real OL to work with.

Too bad Rennie Curran will be playing. Not that I want him injured, but a fever or mild case of food poisoning would be nice on Saturday. That dude straight up flys. We'll need someone that can block him. Not that he can't be blocked, it's just catching up to him to block him that's the issue.
Curran is great, but without Ellerbe he been slowed somewhat. Still very good, but when they are both out there, Ellerbe holds down the middle and handles the run, leaving Curran free to just go after the QB.

Serious Question: How many rushing yards did GA give up against Bama?
129, our season high.
Season low was UT..they had 1 yard rushing.
Arizona State had 4 and South Carolina 18.

Yes, but our run defense is really soft.

I don't mean to ruin this, but does anyone notice how we are having a somewhat intelligent conversation backed up by facts, and we are asking each other questions with "corndog", "ball-licker" or anything. strange.
anyway, yall's receivers, are they just speed burners or are they precise route runners. do they burn folks downfield or are they just going to get a bunch of 8-15 yard catches.

Only two WR's to really speak of. Green is 6'4 -200 and fast. UGA will throw anything from screens to bombs to him. Massaqoi is a little smaller but he's a really tough possetion type WR that can also catch the deep ball. UGA has been going deep 4 or 5 times a game lately. These two will likely catch 85% of the passes to WR's. Kris Durham might be back and he's just a tall lanky white kid with good hands and deceptive speed.

WRs
1) AJ Green. True freshman, leading the SEC in receiving yards. Major threat deep (check his Arizona State highlights for an example).
2) Mohammed Massaquoi. 7th most receiving yards in the SEC. Solid senior WR who is also a deep threat.
3) Kris Durham. Used mainly for swing passes and quick routes on 3rd downs.
4) Mike Moore/Kenneth Harris/Demiko Goodman. Decent WRs but nothing special. May get a toss every now and then if left alone in 3/4 WR sets when Green/Massaquoi are covered. Having a bad OL probably limits their chances since Stafford likely isn't able to get through progressions to them on most passing downs.
TEs
Trip Chandler is our senior TE but he has had big problems at times with drops and is now battling a shoulder injury. Not having a TE in our pro-set offense really hurts because it can be a killer weapon against most CFB LBs, especially with them having to key on Moreno out of the backfield. Our back-up TEs, Bruce Figgins and Aron White, are also now banged up as well.

wow, their whole freakin' team is injured.

Couldn't tell you the last time that we threw to the TE (several games) which is unusual for UGA... We're beat to helll there.

I notice that against the only common opponent with both games played at USC that LSU put up better rushing, passing, and scoring than UGA, and that is using the weak two-headed rookie hydra at QB. I hope UGA puts up another 10 penalty game, that would make me happy.

The latest from Richt (after practice yesterday) is that he would suit up but not start.

This morning from the AJC on Ellerbe...
Ellerbe, Chandler updates
As Hebron and White are sidelined, two other players at their positions could be returning from injuries.
Seniors Dannell Ellerbe and Tripp Chandler, the starters at middle linebacker and tight end, respectively, before missing the past two games, have a chance to play Saturday.
“Ellerbe is making progress,” Richt said. “He’s going to make the trip and pad up. We think he’ll play, yeah.”
Ellerbe, who has a sprained knee, has declined interview requests this week.
Richt said he doesn’t know who will start at middle linebacker even if Ellerbe is able to play, but his guess was that Darryl Gamble, the starter the past two weeks, would do so. “He is healthier right now.”
Chandler, who has an injured shoulder, remains “in the questionable range” for Saturday’s game, Richt said.
Chandler said after practice Tuesday that “it’s a 50-50 thing” whether he’ll be able to play.
“It’s definitely my goal to play,” Chandler said.
Sophomore Bruce Figgins started at tight end last week after opting to delay shoulder surgery until after the season.

We are down to 7 functional OL, all of them freshmen and sophomores.
I didn't realize it was THIS bad now. I noticed looking over the depth chart that one guy was a starter at one position but was 2nd string at 2 other OL positions so I knew it had to be somewhat bad.
You guys really can't afford to lose even 1 more lineman.

I know what you mean, but we were saying that 2-3 linemen ago.
I guess there will always be someone new they can find to stand out there and just get in the way long enough for Stafford to drop and chunk it up for Green. There are several guys already playing that never would have seen the field this year without all the OL busts and injuries we've had the past several years.
Josh Davis (the #6 OL) is really just not very good. Kiante Tripp (the #7 OL) was recently moved to tight end to help out given the injuries there... but then moved back to OL after Vince Vance tore his ACL against Tennessee. He has now played DL, RT, LT, and TE at UGA. Who knows how spun around and ill-prepared he is to play OL at this point. Cordy Glenn (left guard) and Ben Jones (center) are 18 year old kids just a few months out of HS.
Total, complete disaster of a situation. Yet we are averaging 430 yards/game.
