I'd love to have Jimbo follow Les but I think he'd be foolish to leave the ACC for the SEC West

JaMarcus Russell,

One of the best QBs in LSU history being attached to his name is a bad thing.

JR was nothing but class while at lsu

Will be LSU's next coach when Miles retires.

Then he turns us into Thug-U like he's doing at FSU.

i must have missed where jamarcus got in trouble while at LSU. he was only one of the most productive QBs in school history. frick him right

Jameis Winston

won a national title

Ryan Perrilloux

jimbo didn't make Perrilloux a frick up. in fact, jimbo was gone before perrilloux ever played a snap for lsu

Do you have any idea how ridiculous you sound?

From 2012-14, there were five teams besides FSU that finished with 10 wins in the ACC... against said teams, armed with two first round draft picks at QB, Jimbo posted the following scores against them:

2012 Clemson 49-37
2013 Clemson 51-14 W
2013 Duke 45-7 W
2014 Clemson 23-17 (OT) W
2014 Georgia Tech 37-35 W

Literally any coach in our division would be able to replicate those results with the recruiting advantage FSU enjoys over the rest of the ACC... and without the constant discipline headaches.

I'd sell my left nut for any of these 3 to be on the 2015 squad

You do know tis. Pure speculation.

Also, blaming a CFBHC for what his former players do in the NFL is pretty an asinine way of thinking. Did Jimbo handle the Winston sage weirdly? Sure...but some coaches feel the need to stand by players [Les Miles is one of them]. He's kicked off the backup QB and Cook.

You just posted a bunch of wins and a couple of blowout wins.

And LSU currently has constant discipline headaches. so does Alabama. And auburn. And Georgia. And so on.

You're being really stupid

They blew Clemson out in 2013

We beat Iowa by 7 points

JaMarcus Russell, Ryan Perrilloux, Jameis Winston, De'Andre Johnson, and Dalvin Cook can all be attached to his name.

No thank you.

Good god. Of all the years and recruits he's had, you picked a small handful. And, oh by the way, Russell was spectacular in college with no troubles. Winston won a freaking Heisman and, although immature, wasn't a bad guy.

A coach can't expect to keep all players squeaky clean for their entire career. Kids will do stupid things.

Your examples of why you don't Jimbo are absurd. I'd take him in a heartbeat.

The guy beat Clemson three times and played in a conference where the remainder of the teams averaged a .500 record over the last 3 years... Duke in 2013 and Georgia Tech in 2014 were the only other 10+ teams in that span.

I'm not impressed that he's been able to get his team motivated for one big game every year... and that his program has been ripped in the media.

He's a NC winning coach with LSU ties, and I understand the appeal, I just don't see what he's done that 15 other coaches couldn't have done in a pathetic ACC.

What exactly is your point?

You do realize this happens everywhere nowadays. It's not just FSU.

Oh I get it now, you've decided to turn your nose up at an ACC coach. Well have fun with that kind of logic.

I would love to know who you would take over Jimbo?

maybe because no one else in the ACC was able to and was playing the same competition h was. But i'm sure it's just because all the coaches in that conference aren't as good

Believe jimbo believes everything he said, but don't think for a second that he also doesn't want to stay in good graces for recruiting this state in the future.

I don't have a list of coaching candidates on hand, but I wouldn't mind if we were able to snatch James Franklin and Bob Shoop from Penn state.

I'm curious if you would say the same about Urban Meyer & Mark Dantonio. The B1G is pretty lackluster besides those two programs. Would you turn your nose at either one of those coaches?

Florida State has had the #1 recruiting class in the ACC and has been among the top classes nationally for the past 6 years. I'd say it has very little to do with coaching.
