It was .0144, not .0114. It may not be "hammered", but it is definitely well above the point at which anyone should be driving. That is, at least, a healthy buzz.
Good point about the .144 vs .114 (significant difference). I've seen people over 0.2 somewhat function normal, and I've seen people at 0.1 totally smashed. If someone has been drinking all day long for example, the effects will wear off, but their BAC will still be very high.
0.144 is still pushing almost double the legal limit for anyone, and that is a good amount of alcohol, especially if it was over a short period of time.

Oh for crying out loud.
Dead sober people have difficulty passing that thing.

Seems like every year we get one of these, we had Kozial, forgot that pitchers name last year that stole the soda and chips from the union, and i believe a guy the year before that. Oh well, at least its at a position we can afford. Hopefully he's only suspended for a few weeks.

In the article talking about the suspension it said he was "dismissed from team". Worded like that, it sounds like he was kicked off the team. But I don't think that's the case. Just weird wording IMO.

Believe we had a kid a few years back, Matt Jackson or something like that, DWI, off the team. We have an annual DWI with this team.

Tiger in NY- Well said. Thank God he didn't hit someone or another vehicle. But for the grace of God someone was not injured or killed.

0.144 is .04 above what the legal limit used to be, which is the equivalent of about a beer and a half to two beers. 0.144 is probably about 6 beers. shouldn't have been driving but far from drunk for most college males. kid still has to be smarter than that. i know a lot of us have done it, myself included, but it just isn't worth it.
