So you know the answer but dont want to say it....is that right, Mike the Tiger? The guy asked you a simple question...and you try to spin out of it. Kelly didnt beat shite because he couldnt...he sucks and we'll find out about Freeman on monday night. Because if ND wins that game....that will be one of the most impressive runs of a champion in college football history and that is fact...to beat 4 top 10 teams in row will put anyone near the top of the list of great champions. I dont care anyone feels about Penn State's offense or Georgia or Indiana....or Ohio State....the facts will be facts and ND will the king of the mountain if they acn pull this ff and Kelly will never be able to pull a feat like this off....no chance. He couldnt win with Daniels....he wount be able to beat 4 top 10 teams in a row.

Let's say Notre Dame loses by three touchdowns Monday night, does that destroy this entire Marcus Freeman narrative?

Yes it does, Side...just like if he wins it all....he is the new king of the mountain and I cant wait to see a 5 star heisman caliber QB come to town and play for the Irish.

You come on an LSU board spewing frickin uncontrollable loose bowel diarrhea about ND possibly having the greatest playoff run in college history like 2019 didn't happen. GTFOH with that nonsense. You better do your research on who LSU beat that season. Nor do I see a Joe Burrow, Jamar Chase or Justin Jefferson on ND's roster who will light the NFL on fire on the next level. You muthafrickas are a bunch of delusional weirdos. 2019 LSU would beat 2024 ND by 40. shite 2019 Bama would beat you muthafrickas by 40.

Which would make the ND title even that more impressive if they win monday night, BigBrod....they dont have the talent LSU had in 2019 and will have beaten 4 top 10 teams in a row to win it all.

Ohio St is gonna push their shite in with that roster full of talented players from the south. OSU has numerous 1st & 2nd round picks on that team.

We'll see monday night, Bigbrod....

You are trying to compare a college landscape that has changed dramatically since 2019 to the present. ND has benefited heavily this year from the new playoff format & the fact that the portal & NIL has spread talent out more across the country. This ND is no different than past teams. It's the teams they are going up who are much different. Those Alabama & Clemson teams that Kelly lost to were loaded with high NFL draft picks. Players who currently some are the best in the NFL at their positions. That hasn't been the case for ND & Freeman this run.

I don't know about all that, 2019 LSU beat three top 5 teams in a row to end the 2019 season. Those teams had a combined 2 losses.
Your four teams have a combined 7 losses.

You trying to be politically correct yet we both know 2019 LSU would Peter roll this ND team. Like I said, 2019 Bama would beat them by 40 & LSU beat them that year on the road in Tuscaloosa.

2023 Michigan & 2024 Ohio St have been able to do what ND cannot do & will never do. That's come into the south & get some of the elite of the elite at the skill positions. 2023 Michigan especially on defense was full of elite guys from the south. 2024 Ohio St has elite southern players on both sides of the ball.

And 2024 Ohio State isn't even that elite of a team.
This will be the worst national champion in a long time.
Either it will be Notre Dame with a loss to a G5
Or
Ohio State with two regular season losses and they didn't even play for their conference championship

The weakness of 2024 Ohio St is obviously at the QB position. Dwayne Haskins & Justin Fields were better college QBs than Will Howard. If Ohio St had either type at QB this season, they would have been an even bigger problem.

Because Freeman has never done it and Freeman was still playing college football when Brian Kelly took over. So obviously he couldn’t have saved Notre Dame from the dumpster fire that it was dummy.

I believe the key point is that Brian Kelly (BK) didn’t have the same resources that Marcus Freeman (MF) has now. BK laid the foundation for Notre Dame, and MF is benefitting from that solid groundwork along with the additional resources available today.
Many have discussed this already, but if Notre Dame loses on Monday, MF won’t have accomplished anything more than BK did.
I know many of you may have a negative opinion of Moscona, but the segment where he discusses Brady Quinn's interview is particularly noteworthy. In that interview, Quinn expressed his frustration over Brian Kelly's departure, mentioning that Kelly wanted to go to a place with the necessary resources to win a championship. This statement frustrated Quinn and motivated him to start a collective. It highlights the fact that Kelly lacked the resources he needed, while Marcus Freeman does have them.

Another thing touched on in here and I’ve heard elsewhere is the cream of the crop has come down a bit in this era of NIL and transfer portal. It’s really no longer possible for teams like 2019 LSU and 2020 Bama to be assembled anymore. Teams are constantly losing good depth to the portal and are no longer staying out to wait their turn.
Scone made a good point that he thinks ND is basically the same as they were under BK but the elite college football teams have come down a good bit.
Adjusting the playoff seeds will make it better bc it was ridiculous to have Oregon and OSU play a quarterfinal game.
ND has had a fortuitous path and they’ve taken advantage. Injuries are part of the game but getting UGA’s backup qb who was dealing with a concussion leading up was a huge break.

What elite national champion over the past 30 years has a lost like NIU on their record?
Clemson in 2016. Lost to a mediocre Pitt. And Northern Illinois win 8 games this year so they weren't exactly crap.
Again, caveat all you want. No one else is besides a few deluded LSU fans who are jealous Freeman did what BK couldn't. Tell you what.
I'll revisit this board after next season and I guarantee I'll still be reading the same exact complaints about BK I see here ... which were the exact same complaints ND fans had about him.
