Honestly he would probably be a bad coach . Not very smart or hard work and very entitled . But who knows , he will likely be out of money in a few years and might try hard due to that .

His lack luster NFL career , due to laziness and being very entitled since high school .

Just because someone was a great player doesn’t mean that he’ll be a great coach. Saban sucked at playing football and even admitted it himself.

Crazy to see so many talk bad about LF. He promotes lsu every chance he gets, never got in trouble, never bad mouthed the school or coaches yet yall label him as lazy and bash him.
Yall are ridiculous

he was a gifted physical athlete that had god given talent. He was also lazy and relied on that natural ability, which was incredible. Not sure he really ever learned to play the rb role. That's why the guy from Alabama is still playing and LF not so much. I thought he was a very good RB and glad we had him, but not sure I would want him as a coach....other than recruiting purposes possibly.

This is pretty unfair imo
He was very good with the Jags, but was on a bad football team
Obviously then went on to win a Super Bowl and was absolutely pivotal in the playoffs for TB

I’ll always love LF but he doesn’t not need to be in charge of any sort of recruiting

Honest question, does he have a degree? If not, does he need one? Why does everyone suggest starting as an analyst vs grad assistant?
a degree has nothing to do with coaching.
if LF wants to coach, he definitely needs to start in some capacity right now. Learn teaching the craft, running the ball =/= teaching someone else to run/block/catch.
His value recruiting would be on campus just "being there". Not taking the lead as a main recruiter. just like every job in the world, you want to be good at it, you better gain some experience.

Can we bring Faulk back. Where is he at now ?

Not sure LF7 has the endurance it takes to be an elite coach and recruiter
Agreed, I think it probably it seems like a great idea in his head right now but I don't think he realizes how much Frank really does and how difficult it would be to fill his shoes.

If he wants to be a coach at LSU, he needs to go be a coach, somewhere right now.
I don’t care if you were a good player, that doesn’t automatically make you a good coach. You don’t just walk into a coaching position at a top school, with no coaching experience.
If he truly wants to do this, he could go back to school and be a grad assistant, or take a staff position, and learn, etc….
I certainly hope they don’t give him the position of running back coach without any experience.

Why does he feel the need to make this statement over social media; how about sending an email or picking up the phone to let them know he is interested if and or when it comes available . Where is Faulk?

Can’t be a grad assistant without an undergrad degree is the point that poster was making.

I think there is serious skepticism that LF, in fact, actually wants to do that. He just wants to jump right in as the LSU RB coach. Which is why this is not a serious possibility. He wouldn’t even get an interview.

I don’t think he’d have any value recruiting to be honest. He wouldn’t be recruiting 30 and 40 year olds who watched him play and be amazing. He’d be recruiting teenagers who would have at best heard stories of him from their parents.
And if he’s not a great RB coach, he damn sure would have to be a “main recruiter.” He ain’t Shaq. He doesn’t have near the national celebrity would attract guys based on just his name. He’d have to be constantly on the road just like every other assistant coach in college football. And do any of us really believe he’d be willing to do that.
He could have value just hanging around the program during recruiting visits and meeting and talking to recruits, mainly for their dads to get excited about. But he doesn’t need to do more than just a quick meet and greet, show off his Super Bowl ring, and get the frick out. He’s not gonna ever be the LSU RB coach. This is silly.

Tom Brady isn’t recruiting you to play with him if you are lazy.
Fournette had the most yards in that Super Bowl. Pretty solid for a lazy player considering that game had several hall of fame skill players - travis kelce, tyreek hill, gronk, mike evans, Antonio brown
Carried a Jags team as a rookie with blake bortles, Keenan Cole, marqise Lee, and Allen Hurns to being one drive away from the Super Bowl.

lol - HARD PASS - Lenny just looking for another bag - he was mediocre in the pros; what could he actually teach?
you can have God-given skills like LF7 but I doubt he could actually teach RBs much
plus his infantile behavior on social media - HARD PASS

I'm not in favor of it either, but what he did as a player in the NFL is not really relevant.
most of the best Coaches out there weren't great pro players.
