Every stadium has its fair share of morons. It comes with the territory.

I was a student at MSU (I know... prayers sent) in the mid 90s. In one of my first games as a student, Zola Davis (the great former SC receiver) hurt his neck on a play, and they eventually had to get an amber lamps on the field to take him off.

As the trainers were tending to him, some hick behind me yells "Scrape that n***er up and get him off the field!"

Ignorance knows no bounds.

You can complain about it, but it isn't going anywhere.

Sitting in the student section I let fly pretty constantly, but around kids is a whole 'nother story. Never ever ever. Nor should anyone else, really. I don't care if I offend other adults, but kids is something else.

Please elaborate.

Are you saying that you will commit battery, a violation of the law, in front of your daughter??

Beat me to it. Can't have the precious little flower petal hearing cuss words. Violence is the obvious answer.

When I was a kid, my father refused to bring me to TS night games or basically any atmosphere where that kind of language was expected. He didn't go off trying to change people, he just avoided them.

When I got around 10 or 11, he just explained that we don't use that language and that it wasn't polite. Also said everyone there was liquored up and that was the reason. He figured it was words and you made the choice to use them, just not support them. More of a teaching tool than anything else.

FWIW, the OP needs to get over it and stop bringing his kids into atmospheres that arent suitable for kids. I'm sorry, TS at 8pm isn't one of them.

Of course, if I'm a good parent, I'll probably consider it twice before I bring my kids (or grandson should I say now) to Tiger stadium

I will say that in my section, people do seem to watch what they say. My 2 kids have been going for years. It doesn't bother me when somebody accidentally lets something loose. Those who feel they have to say F nonstop loud enough to make sure everybody hears them is annoying whether you have kids with you or not.

What does thin skinned have to do with people saying frick in front of small children? I guess I'm thin skinned then. My best friend is no longer welcome at our game parties because of that fricking bullshite.

It's a pretty sorry reflection of our society that some of you jackasses believe that this type of offensive behavior is acceptale. All of you are probably responsible for putting Obama in office. By the way, the booing is reprehensible as well. The people who are booing are most likely a bunch of fat arse punks who couldn't carry Jordan Jefferson's jock.

There's a reason why I don't bring kids to wrestling matches or monster truck shows. There's certain kinds of behavior that I expect at those places. Same for a game night in Tiger Stadium when the offense isn't playing all that well. I seriously doubt that people are running up to little kids and yelling "FUUUUUCK YOU LITTLE FUUUUUCKERRRRR" in their faces. Maybe they are and I'm missing it. But it doubt it.

Perhaps people should think twice about bringing their special little guy to a game at 8:00pm where people have been drinking all day. But, like I said earlier, I'm not hopeful.
