Neither one of these "facts" have any bearing whatsoever on whether a bama team is the best ever. Thinking that they do is laughable.

How does it not? They also didn't win the national title, which I think kinda precludes them from being in the "best Bama team ever" discussion

One piece of evidence that shows this was the best Alabama team ever ben. That's all that I'm asking. Just one.

There are a lot of former players that have a positive opinion of Coach O and his staff, and no one on TD is denying this, they’ll just say they know one who isn’t. Kills them to admit the truth.

The guy is arguing against verifiable facts with his opinion while claiming he's "won" the argument.

He's mentally unstable.

Sadly I this this may be the case. The guy has a lot on his plate. I'm just going to step away.

Wait wait wait. You tell us a story about 1 player that has a positive opinion about Orgeron and it's now gospel?

Booger McFarland is on record questioning Orgeron. So is Marcus Spears.

Do we not take their opinion into account?

Trying to claim which bama team is the best ever pits bama team against bama team.

You didn't say best team this year which we know is Clemson.

He said bama team against bama team.

How do you know which team from which year is better than the other?

You can't objectively come to a conclusion one way or another. To claim that you can is ridiculous.

He quoted margin of victory
And winning a NC.

That's not going to cut it. The only way to ever know the truth would be for the two teams from different eras to strap it up. We all know that can't happen so it's all subjective. Now how in hell can you argue that one team is that much better than the other. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Well no shite. But you can present statistical facts to make an argument one way or the other. There are some facts that weigh against this being the best Bama team every. Obviously they were damn good.

For the last time, I didn't claim any Alabama team was the best ever. I simply provided factual evidence that 2018 was not the best ever.

Pretty large difference.

I never said it was. I said and it's true that you can't say that it's objectively not the best. Especially quoting two "facts"

You're wrong and that's all it is to it.

Good. He can put this on his resume:

* multiple former players thought I did a good job despite data showing the same plateau the teams been on and a regressing offense (the only staff I've affected as I inherited a top dc)

Shocking.

A former player compliments our current coach, and the statement is so controversial that it results in a 24 page thread. Unbelievable.

Prove (as in something other than your opinion) that this is wrong ben. Give us a statistic, any statistic, that proves this wrong. Just one.

Now you've called me mentally unstable and I actually would be well within my rights to be but I'm not. The guy is still crying about facts and opinions. The fact is that he doesn't know the difference.

Actually, a poster claims an obscure former player complimented the coach.
